- 2024 Senior Bowl Coverage: Day 2 - WR-vs-DB - National Team 1 on 1
The intensity in the WR/DB 1 on 1s were cranked up a notch on day 2 of 2024 Senior Bowl practices for the National Team. Michigan WR Roman Wilson built on his strong Day 1 performance once again creating separation in winning reps consistently. North Carolina speedster Tez Walker and Notre Dame cornerback Cam Hart battled throughout the session both winning their fair share of reps. And Quinyon Mitchell continued to demonstrate why he should not only be a first round lock in the 2024 NFL Draft, but why he should be in the conversation for the top cornerback selected overall. I dont think ive seen kalen king win a single rep lol
Listen… it look like he has gained weight and he looks awful out there lol.
😂😂
Quinyon Mitchell is nuts
Yah he can coverage very solid .
Yea I like him mid 2nd early 3rd
@@readyondabeatnah he moving up into the 1st rd with showcase
He is? I saw him lose on at least 50% of his reps. Corley got him multiple times, so did McCaffrey, even the slow AF Brendan Rice beat him and Roman Wilson was making him look silly.
Watch the reps stop assuming.
@@jlm4455wtf are you talking about? Luke McCaffrey is the only guy that completed a catch on him this whole drill and that was on a two way go from more of a nickel position. He picked off Brendan Rice. The fuck you mean "he made him look silly"?
Mitchell is getting a lot of positive coverage - deservedly so. But Max Melton looks pretty damn good too.
Roman looks just about uncoverable in one on one.
Roman has been the best wide receiver in Mobile this week.
Devontez Walker has NO HANDS. Ricky looks like the best receiver without question
WR-ROMAN DB-MITCHELL🔥🔥🔥🔥
Is Kalen King injured or sick?? He looks terrible for someone who's projected to get drafted in the 2nd round
Not certain. Thinking it might be a confidence issue. Day 3 was better, marginally.
Persall, Walker, Roman Wilson, Corley, and Luke McCaffery all look so good. Brendan rice🤦🏾♂️can’t catch a damn cold. Mitchell??? He’s gonna be drafted so high come April😂like top 15 he’s incredible
Rice struggled with drops throughout the season as well. Definitely needs to clean that up.
Javon Baker looks good
Baker Javon looking good 😍
That Ricky Pearsall looks good
Good speed and the only one who seemed to be able to catch the ball
???? He only beat king
@@leocriss6354 Beat everyone he was up against minus falling down against Mitchell
quinton mitchell draft stock finna go up
His stock going through the toliet
@@Markusdmac1996 hater
Am I the only one that is watching Luke McCaffrey? That kids impressed me the last 2 days. He’s getting separation from anyone he goes against and is catching the ball well too.
Smith-Wade is WAYYYY too handsy too. Bout took Walker’s whole jersey off 😂😂
Tez was shakin em off the line, Mitchell is him
Mitchell checked every box this week
Mitchell out of Toledo might go Top 15 overall. So impressive.
Cant show a lil love to the rb and lbs
Man who throwing these terrible passes making these wrs look bad frfr 🤦♂️
Why was Sione Vaki running routes? Saw him and thought how I wanted that Day 3 TE lmao
The more you can do
Wish I could see more about the safeties not named Kinchens.
CB Cam Hart had a good week. Not flawless, but I think he should be pleased with his performance.
jacob cowing is really good at football
Defense looked better then offense here
Even though this drill is more catered to WR's with the advantage, Mitchell easily looks like the best DB in this class. Kalen King fall off needs to be studied, and Roman Wilson is looking very good. Ricky Pearsall looks great too. Max Melton also looks pretty good. He seems step for step with most RB's just has to work on finishing the pass disruption.
Yeah, King has been a head scratcher. Came into this week having a lot to prove and it's been rough. Wonder if he's struggling with confidence. Won't use his hands to help maintain leverage at all.
He was projected an early day 2 pick right? Seems like he'll fall to the late 3rd or early 4th at this rate. @@cpgmNFLDraft
Tez Walker was clearly the best he it seemed sunny and they were losing the ball
Brenden rice is dropping a lot of balls man. This don’t look good at all at all. I’m shocked and very unimpressed. He’s had a terrible showing so far. He can run but can’t catch that ball. I had a Micheal Gallup comp for him but I can’t even give him that right now 😅
finally someone that agrees with my assessment. Rice is hella athletic and big and fast, but just can't finish the damn play. Many analysts said that his stock went up, I personally don't see the hype.
I hope the Eagles draft Roman Wilson.
Walker needs to file an injunction to allow him to go back to school. That was hard to watch.
Not a 1st or 2nd round wr in this group.. Mitchell should go 1st after this showing
Jacob cowing going to be a problem
Not sure how Willie drew got the invite
Just not fast enough. Everything else actually looks pretty solid. Came from D2, not too shabby.
The one rep against Brendan Rice was not bad, he showed that he had pretty good length and ball tracking skills, but as FantasySportsZen has said, he's just way too damn slow. First rep in the video, he just couldn't keep up.
Tbh all those receivers kinda suck
These are day 1
Is it just me or are all of the WR's not ahowing great hands. Some good catches, but too many dropa
Rice is a beast
Raw talent but too many drop passes
Man there QBs suck
I don't get the Q. Mitchell hype. On the 3 days of DBs v WRs I saw him lose a bunch of reps. Corley bodied him with ease, as did McCaffrey (twice), Rice and Wilson spun him around so badly he fell on his butt. He played a lower level of comp and wowed at the combine. I do not see elite coverage skills on his tape or at the senior bowl. People are projecting what they want him to be. I think Wiggins CB1. Mitchell is a back end of round 1, early 2nd prospect.
Not mad at you having Wiggins as CB1. You have to take 1 on 1s with a grain of salt. You're going to lose reps. No pass rush, no leverage in the form of 10 other players on defense. It's the making of adjustments from 1 rep to the next is significant. Avoiding penalties is significant as well. These guys are also trying things that they haven't necessarily been asked to do in college as well. For every time he got beat, he also demonstrated what we questioned going into Senior Bowl week which was his press man coverage; he's more than capable. His ball skills are best in class. You're right, he is a projection, but that is a significant component of the draft. Consider his physical traits paired with professional coaching. The Senior Bowl also gives you a glimpse into a leveling of playing field/talent faced.
