I'm in a group that doesn't allow us to say that a perfume has an old lady smell. They assume it's disparaging. Traditionally, older women and younger women wear different fragrances- there's nothing wrong with acknowledging that. They are ok with us saying that something is teeny. They do not see that as agism. I don't get it. So many older women smell wonderful but I wouldn't wear the same scents bc it's too mature for me as of now.

And what I really love is when young, hipster types talk about how much they love wearing vintage, like Chanel 5. I wear it and it's old lady. They wear it, and it's cool. So I turn the tables and wear Juicy Couture or AG Cloud, and think I am hilarious for smelling like a teenager!!
I am the biggest Guerlain fan and adore their classic perfumes! But I naturally have very classic taste, so it's not a surprise. To each their own! No one has to apologize for not liking something, as long as it is done with respect and maturity. Sending you love 🌺
The first time I disagreed with you 😳 but only because I don't smell mon guerlain on ANYONE in England, I think popular scents differ country to country so for me it's a very unique scent (mainly because of the lavender tbh) but obviously everyone has different opinions

I personally love Guerlain and wore Champs Elysse in high school. I used to always receive compliments on this perfume and when a guy would ask what I’m wearing I just had a blank stare. I could never pronounce. 😂 Come on people I wear perfume for me and nobody else. I wear perfume to bed and when I’m just at home chillin. I was on the fence about L'Instant too, but now I love it! I think you would like the EDT more, it's a bit more green, less powdery, while retaining the rich sweetness. More original for sure.
I love the Aqua Allegorias for summer but I wish they lasted longer. There are 2 new ones being released very soon for this summer. I love Limon Verde and Passiflora the most. Also, you should try the more Exclusive lines from Guerlain, I think there are some in there you would enjoy. You seem so enjoy sweeter scents and orientals, something like Spiritueuse Double Vanille or Tonka Imperiale or Gourmand Coquine or Oriental Brulant. They are pricier than the regular Guerlains but they are also stronger and more long lasting.
I recommend L'Instant Magic, it's very good, probably would be to your taste, but best not to wear it too often because I think one can easily get sick of it.
I totally agree with you in that you should enjoy your perfume the way you want when you want it and whichever you want. Some days I wear expensive ones, for me and at home, and sometimes the ones that cost less, why? Because it is the one that makes me feel good at that given moment. Your hair looks elegant today and that tone of blue complements your eyes. The whole ensemble looks very good.
Perfume is a mood and a vibe. I shower, wear perfume to the store only to have to come home and shower again, no one can probably even smell me due to masks and social distancing- but perfume really sets the mood for me.
Yes! I agree with you on INSOLENCE not being a blind buy. I however did blind buy it because of a three part BBC documentary on perfume here on TH-cam. But It was completely not what I was expecting! My favourite Guerlain perfume is La Petite Robe Noire, the original edP. That's it (I haven't tried many others so...) and no one asked but who cares.. Because i'm in the mood to list things: Other than Guerlain, my favourite perfumes are Montale Intense Cafe, Parfums de Marly Delina, Mancera Aoud Black Candy. And YSL Black Opium 🤣 But still looking for that perfect Coffee perfume!

Ok 3 oldies from Guerlain (& they all are rated well on fragrantica): Since they are not modern, they are never talked about and I did not think they were available but as it turns out they are available online. One is called Nahema; the other is called Parure, and the last one is Jardins de Bagatelles. The first two are quite unusual. I love them all because they bring back special memories so I can’t say if I would love them if I just smelled them today but I think it would be very fun if you got ahold of these three and did a review of them!

I thought I wouldn’t like Mon Guerlain based on our similar taste, but the lavender makes it aromatic and it became a LOVE. Maybe because it’s my first Guerlain and it’s the appeal of a quality composition, since I normally get Mugler. 🤪
I blind bought Mon Guerlain bc of it being another popular perfume reviewers signature scent. Well, I don't like it on me AT ALL. It smells like a rich old lady from 1980! When I sprayed it in the bedroom while staying at my sister's house, the smell absorbed into the fabrics in the room and my sister HATED it so much, she said I ruined the bedroom forever!
Thank you for being honest about Chanel. I agree that their fragrances are nothing great. They hide behind their iconic name and the reputation of Coco Chanel. The only thing I love about them is the shape of the Chanel #5 bottle. However, I think Chanel #5 stinks. I actually think that a lot of people buy it to put the bottle on their dressing table. I never smell it on anyone. So, there are not many people wearing it in the real world.
Since you like Guerlain Insolence both EDP and EDT, you can try Chanel Misia from Les Exclusifs line and chances are you will like this particular Chanel (even though you didn’t like any so far) you might like it because you like Insolence. 👌

I get so many compliments on Samsara, i agree it doesnt smell good sprayed right out of the body or on all people but its the most compliment perfume on me. I went to an all girls school and one girl use to wear it and she always smelled so good, i decided to give it a try and now its my favorite guerlain perfume.
I wonder if you'd like Nahema by Guerlain. It's a classic Oriental Floral and it's sometimes hard to find but it's been my mom's signature scent for a long time and I think it's nice.
I love Mon Guerlain, but maybe because I don't know a lot of people that wear it (at all). I used to love Coco Madamoiselle when I was in university yeeeeeeears ago, but then it became so common here that I stopped wearing it and it was ruined for me. For me Mon Guerlain is a comfy fragrance to wear when I wanna cuddle up to my boyfriend and be cozy 😊 No offence taken either! Imagine being offended by perfume opinions 🙃

Après l’Ondee (1906) is so beautyfully made. It is supposed to smell like a garden after heavy rainfall. Floral and earthy. YSL Paris is inspired by it. I like them both very much. Jane Levey totally wear perfumes for myself. Scents help my stress. When I smell good it makes me happy. My kids sometimes tell me “mom enough with the perfume!” I just tell them to suck it up you are just jealous you don’t smell as good as me. I smell amazing!!!
Guerlain is my favorite house, but I agree with you on Channel and Lalique. I find them cold. Don’t blind buy it because it is pricey, but my favorite Guerlain is Cuir Beluga. It is from their Arts and Materials line. It is a beautiful leather. I am a natural girl, and I fit with the Aqua Allegoria line perfectly. Love love love La Petite Robe Noir and all the flankers.
My favorite from the line was Aqua Allegoria Jasminora, but they discontinued it :( That was the only fresh perfume I liked aside from Versace Versense which is my absolute favorite

One of my most favorite is Mitsuko edp and if you like spices you might like it. I must now try Insolence 😁♥️

Ok 3 oldies from Guerlain (& they all are rated well on fragrantica): Since they are not modern, they are never talked about and I did not think they were available but as it turns out they are available online. One is called Nahema; the other is called Parure, and the last one is Jardins de Bagatelles. The first two are quite unusual. I love them all because they bring back special memories so I can’t say if I would love them if I just smelled them today but I think it would be very fun if you got ahold of these three and did a review of them!

I thought I wouldn’t like Mon Guerlain based on our similar taste, but the lavender makes it aromatic and it became a LOVE. Maybe because it’s my first Guerlain and it’s the appeal of a quality composition, since I normally get Mugler. 🤪
I blind bought Mon Guerlain bc of it being another popular perfume reviewers signature scent. Well, I don't like it on me AT ALL. It smells like a rich old lady from 1980! When I sprayed it in the bedroom while staying at my sister's house, the smell absorbed into the fabrics in the room and my sister HATED it so much, she said I ruined the bedroom forever!
Thank you for being honest about Chanel. I agree that their fragrances are nothing great. They hide behind their iconic name and the reputation of Coco Chanel. The only thing I love about them is the shape of the Chanel #5 bottle. However, I think Chanel #5 stinks. I actually think that a lot of people buy it to put the bottle on their dressing table. I never smell it on anyone. So, there are not many people wearing it in the real world.
Since you like Guerlain Insolence both EDP and EDT, you can try Chanel Misia from Les Exclusifs line and chances are you will like this particular Chanel (even though you didn’t like any so far) you might like it because you like Insolence. 👌

I get so many compliments on Samsara, i agree it doesnt smell good sprayed right out of the body or on all people but its the most compliment perfume on me. I went to an all girls school and one girl use to wear it and she always smelled so good, i decided to give it a try and now its my favorite guerlain perfume.

I wonder if you'd like Nahema by Guerlain. It's a classic Oriental Floral and it's sometimes hard to find but it's been my mom's signature scent for a long time and I think it's nice.
I love Mon Guerlain, but maybe because I don't know a lot of people that wear it (at all). I used to love Coco Madamoiselle when I was in university yeeeeeeears ago, but then it became so common here that I stopped wearing it and it was ruined for me.
For me Mon Guerlain is a comfy fragrance to wear when I wanna cuddle up to my boyfriend and be cozy 😊

Après l’Ondee (1906) is so beautyfully made. It is supposed to smell like a garden after heavy rainfall. Floral and earthy. YSL Paris is inspired by it. I like them both very much. I love your sense of humor and its just perfume right, why would people get offended? You cant please everybody so better please yourself

Guerlain is my favorite house, but I agree with you on Channel and Lalique. I find them cold. Don’t blind buy it because it is pricey, but my favorite Guerlain is Cuir Beluga. It is from their Arts and Materials line. It is a beautiful leather. I am a natural girl, and I fit with the Aqua Allegoria line perfectly. Love love love La Petite Robe Noir and all the flankers.

My favorite from the line was Aqua Allegoria Jasminora, but they discontinued it :( That was the only fresh perfume I liked aside from Versace Versense which is my absolute favorite
The bee bottle smell is different, try Guerlain l‘instant in the other classic bottle! You will smell the difference !!

I like your style 😄🤩 I like Guerlain in general I own 6 for now and that's a lot because I only started collecting fragrances and have (only) 14 😂. I love Mon Guerlain, and it's just a fact that eeeeveryone has it and wears it 🙄, I also love La petite robe noire (and I agree, it's better than mon guerlain). One of my most favorite is Mitsuko edp and if you like spices you might like it.

Mila hey, love your videos. The Guerlain Aqua allegoria line are just mainly refreshing perfumes like you said. But there is no disputing that Guerlain has a wide range of exceptional fragrances and because they've been around for so long they have a really wide range and there will definitely be some that aren't everybody's cup of tea. I absolutely LOVE the house of Guerlain... Also you can find alot of deals for Guerlain fragrances
I hate L'instant de Guerlain, but L'instant Magic is perfection for me. Please try it one day, it has nothing to do with L'instant. It's an almond-santal scent!

I hate Shalimar but I love Shalimar Souffle de Parfum.It's like a vanilla / lemon cake and it's so comforting ( I use it for bed )! I LOVE Insolence 💜 and Gucci Rush too 💋I like La Petite Robe Noire for cold weather 💗 I love Les Méteorites Le Parfum ( discontinued ) very powdery violets 💟 I use it for my silk pillowcase😊😘
