      Amazing, yeah it doesn‘t get much better if you are looking for a tool watch inspired dive watch.

    Ive had my Blue Pelagos for a little over a year and I totally agree with what you said about the scratches on it. It was my first high end watchs (had been wearing a bunch of Seikos and Hamiltons before i got it) and it hurt seeing those scratches. But after a while it sort of grew into the wear on it. It is a lot of money to spend on an object like that and I think everyone wants their things to stay prestine, but I think there is a point to be made about actually wearing and enjpoying the watch. It gives it character and shows the experiences you can have with the watch. Once you seperate youself from the monetary value of it you can actually wear the watch care free and just get to enjoy it rather than letting it sit in a box and only come out on rare occasions. it really is a watch that is meant to be worn and if I lose a bit of value to be able to wear it whenever I want it is well worth it.

    Nice video! Many people do reviews of watches after 1 month, 6 months, maybe even 1 year. But it’s really nice to see one featuring 6 years! Can’t wait for the decade review!

    Delightful video again. Yes to everything you said.
    Got mine since 3 years now (the two liner, too) and wear it on a black/grey (some call it Bond but we know it isn´t really :) ) Nato-strap. It´s an absolute keeper in my collection. I would love a stainless steel version of it with a little bit more bling.

    Excellent Watch, my Pelagos is an amazing watch and the Titanium case and bracelet are really what makes this watch stand out against other diver watches out there .
    I wish that Rolex would do a Titanium Diver , maybe the best Sea Dweller will be made in Titanium .
    Tudor has made an excellent watch and it will be in my collection for as so long as I can wear it on my wrist .

    • @watchesinthewild8276
      @watchesinthewild8276  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A Rolex diver in full titanium would be amazing. Right now there is only the Deepsea with at least its caseback being titanium. But them not offering a full titanium diver only makes the Peli all the more special. Enjoy yours for a long time to come! :)

    Considering a Pelagos as a beater, I too am anxious when I wear my watches. Can show a close up view on your watch showing the scratches? How is the clasp holding up? You mention scratch resistence titanium but the Pelagos is grade 2 titanium instead of grade 5 which is supposely more prone to scratch than a Steel watch.

    • @watchesinthewild8276
      @watchesinthewild8276  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Donald, as you point out the Pelagos is fashioned out of Ti 2 rather than 5, meaning it is pure Titanium, not an alloy. Yes, Ti 2 has less Vickers - 210 as opposed to regular steel which, if my sources are correct, is around 220. Ti 5 would be significantly harder with around 350 Vickers. Nevertheless, even after six years my case is in more than decent condition, scratches are hidden well. And the couple of scratches that are visible just make it look better in my opinion. And this is coming from a guy who hates scratches (see my GS video)....

      @@watchesinthewild8276 How about dings? Is it prone to dings?

    • @watchesinthewild8276
      @watchesinthewild8276  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@donaldneo4317 Not really, but I guess if you are very concerned about dings and scratches you should consider going for a Sinn instead, they are world-class when it comes to that (and quite a bit cheaper).

    • @donaldneo4317
      @donaldneo4317 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually I have the Sinn U1 on rubber, its tough as hell but finds it too top heavy and uncomfortable after wearing for a couple of hours especially when using it as a beater for more active activities.

    Did you know that Kenissi make their alleged “in house” movement on the newer models?
    Because Tudor own shares (as well as Chanel and others) they are able to call it “In house” - bit of a play on words I think.
    I don’t think it’s even made in a Tudor factory.
    They even use this movement in Breitling, Norquain and Chanel (to name a few).
    Could Kenissi be the next ETA and pimp their movements out to other watches…
    Surprisingly also, Tudor use Breitlings chronograph movement in their watches too.

    • @watchesinthewild8276
      @watchesinthewild8276  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I only very recently was made aware of that! A bit disappointing since Tudor, with the backing of its big old brother, should have the resources to do the work themselves and produce an in-house movement worthy of that name.

    • @watchesinthewild8276
      @watchesinthewild8276  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Ethan, thanks for the high praise! As to your question, I would say it’s a little bit of a stretch considering your 40 mm preference (the Pelagos doesn’t wear larger than 42mm but it also doesn’t wear smaller). I would strongly recommend you try it out at an AD first before making a purchase. Having said that, it is a dive watch and as such has the license to wear a little bigger imo.
