Stiv was a friend of mine in Youngstown ohio. We worked together in a factory. His band at the time was called “Mother Goose”. The craziest dude I ever met.
Thank you and God bless you a million times for posting this. I cannot believe how good this band is. I truly regret not being old enough to just have seen them live in the late 1970's, also to not have seen them during their reunion with some new members. This is a hard rock band that truly deserves nomination into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.
You regret not being OLDER?!? I do wish they had played One Step Beyond in Santa Clara like they planned on in 1986 before cancelling the same day. The rock and roll hall of fame is a joke. They sound great here, even if it's just Cheetah Chrome so not really the Dead Boys. No Stiv, no Dead Boys.
Cheetah’s in good form here. We used to hang out when he lived not far from me in nashville. He was off the H and he (and I) smoked a lot of weed and drank Guinness all day and all night, and didn’t seem to affect him. We kinda lost touch and I heard he started riding the horse again. He doesn’t live here anymore and I hope he’s doing alright. He’s great in this clip.
He still has it here doesn't he? Most punks dead from back then but he still rocks in this clip. Dead Boys were great and underappreciated . Just like the Ramones.
Stiv was great, he would tell us what hotel they were at to hang out after. I was in the moosh pit and I asked Cheetah for a beer and Stiv gave me all of Cheetahs Millers he had stashed. RIP.
I've known Cheetah Chrome since 1976. I'll be going to see him and the reconstituted Dead Boys in Glendale, AZ in just a few days! I'm wondering if the dancing bikini woman was Cheetah's old flame Gyda Gash?
Maybe dey should called dem selves a Dead Boys Tribute, cause when I saw this post,I was thinking dem Boys were Something back in da day of CBGB,nah!Take care fans,Keep on Slammin!Jcs
I saw them a bunch of times in NYC back in the good old days. CBGBs, Heat, I think they even played one of the Marijuana day concerts in Central Park. One night at Club Heat Cheeta came out with a cast on his hand, could,t play guitar, I don't know who they had playing for him. He came onstage said "this is my fucking band", and they started playing, he bounced around on stage all night. I was there that night John Belushi played the drums with them at CBs.
I remember when I first heard the dead boys young loud and snotty album in 1978 it was nearly a fuck yeah moment like when I first heard the Sex pistols, I said nearly.
Yes, it’s a tribute act, but what else is Cheetah going to do to earn some rent money? There’s no way he can work a straight job. Plus, no 401K or pension for retirement. The only issue is the turd trying to act like Stiv. C’mon, be yourself, grandpa. You may gain some respect.
Was that what led to The Blitz Benefit or was that an additional stabbing? I was Debbie's guest on the second night. She wore my shirt during her performance with Robert Fripp
Holy shit that’s tommy lee. Makes sense cuz I was thinkin why the fuck do they have some hair metal fuck doin this and now it makes sense. Pisses me off
the new york dolls were THREE TRILLION DEGREES ABOVE the rolling stones AND the dead boys were ANOTHER THREE TRILLION DEGREES ABOVE the sex pistols. HONESTLY.👍🏻
@@petarticinovic2710 I agree. NotStiv should be fronting his own band playing his own songs. No Stiv, no Dead Boys.
I was fortunate too see all the original Dead Boy's lineup. This certainly is not but if the audience enjoys it,we’ll Let it Be.
Agreed. I saw them in Richmond, Virginia, when they got back together in January of 1987. The only original member I see is Cheetah Chrome.
Dats what I'm saying,ReaL CooL gos to you,4 Gettin ta checkem out DB,back in da CBGB days! Thanks HiLLy!Always, nah!Jcs
Cheetah rocking out his old tunes with the help of his friends. Having a good time, and why not? Cheers.

Cheeta should put a Band together and tour by himself. He's a cool guy.My friend knew Him in the early 80's and we hung out a few times. Awesome dude.

Cheetah Chrome Punk Rock Legend!

Our friend, Ingrid, actually married Johnny Blitz. Then he got stabbed in the head at Deli Stop on 3rd St. He was back the next night.
Was that what led to The Blitz Benefit or was that an additional stabbing? I was Debbie's guest on the second night. She wore my shirt during her performance with Robert Fripp
Stiv Bators you can't imitate the dead boys are in the Olympus of punk rock ✊
Cool!!! Thanks for the upload!
RIP stiv
That’s gotta be a reissue National cause the old ones didn’t play or sound like that .
I was repulsed then I'm like Umm.....................WHERE'D SHE GO?!
I don't have my glasses on. I'm now 63.
Where in Oakland was this?
That's Chrome, always a pleasure!
This is Cheetah Chrome and the posers. Not the Dead boys.
Love how they just got a lady up there who’s just supposed to vibe
This is great!
ThE DeAd BoYs 🧷 hi from 🇬🇧♥️
They sound like fasterpussy cat or LA guns in late 80’s , This is Entertaining… Rip Stiv!!!!
I see a Cheetah but who are those other guys, Ain't it fun?
We've reached the threshhold when tribute becomes embarressment.
Dweeb
Ayyy i like this
Se tivessem tido cabeça na época do CBGB hoje eram mais reconhecidos... a época do nascimento do punk rendeu bons frutos para eles.
"Dead Boys Live" is a contradiction. But they sound good anyway.
Buenardo
Sounds Good but it's not The DEAD BOYS. This isn't 1977, either.
Its a cover band. One og doesn't make it the band.
Lmao true. How many you need though? 2?
1 original member or 3 roadies and a stage manager
Is that cheetah chrome?

Still better than anything green day or joan jett ever played.
When did Frodo start singing?
Good for Cheetah. Putting it on the line from day one.
Just think if Stiv was Not in France in 1990 !
Or if he'd gotten medical attention.
CBGB not dead
this makes me sad. 1 original guy and Tommy lee as the singer. What a joke. oh yeah and some 29 yr old guy with plugs as the drummer.. perfect
