Boney James is another smooth cat on the sax..I had the privilege seeing him at the Capitol Jazz Fest a few years ago, nd this brother knows how to put on an excellent show. His sound is so smooth nd soulful you can't go wrong with his music..
The best of both worlds ! Gregg Karukas tickling the ivory & Bony James blowing on the tenor ! Not forgetting Ray Fuller on lead guitar, Smitty Smith on bass & Donnell Spencer on drums, BOOM-POW ! ! ! ! Wish I was there to see them in person, pure ecstasy ! It just does not get any better than this.

Captain This style is called Progressive Jazz. I agree with you it's not Pop Jazz if there was ever such a thing.
