I'm old now, but I've seen races on both pavement and dirt at Fulton.
@@tomchrisfield7348 not gunna lie I wish they would tear up the dirt for 1 race a year and do an asphalt race as the old asphalt still sits under th dirt surface
@@juggalofreakicp I went there with my girlfriend in my 72 Gremlin to watch the Big Block Modifieds running the high banks, there was also a drag strip there, but I never saw a drag race. They've done well with the dirt track.
@@tomchrisfield7348 I was born in 95 so I never got to see an asphalt race other than video ... I grew up at the track and in the pits as I come from a racing family my grand dad raced a modified in the 70s and 80s one uncle ran 4 cyls at brewerton from 95 till 2012 then ran a crate late model and now my little cousin runs a sportsman and my other uncle is very well known at the track even tho he's no longer with us I belive it was something like 7 Track championships at fulton between the street/pure stocks and the pro stocks the first 3 have the last name of backus David was my grandfather (rip) Aron is my uncle and Kiera is my little cousin and my other uncle was mark wallace
Lol mahaney has so many fans always showing support on all dirtcars videos and floracings uploads cuz theyre all fans who watch "dirt track untold" but hes not really a wheelman on the same level of Shepard, Williamson, Friesen etc. Seems like those names win races regularly but i will say mahaney is a good driver.
@michaelhamilton3778 you may want to watch the replay, that started before the green between 3 & 4. The other guy is Jimmy Phelps, I'm pretty sure he knows what hes doing

@@evanlashway329 it an homage to the old outlaw days this race is not a stss sanctioned race nor dirtcar its sanctioned and ran by fulton speedway and fulton speedway alone always has been always will be even to to the old victoria 200 days
@@nicholasshayne6592 this race is not a stss race and never will be its an homage to the old outlaw days hence why the race got renamed after they sold the victoria 200 name rights to Utica Rome first year or 2 was the fulton 200 and now it's been outlaw 200 for the past 15 years or so but the sailpanels have been a constant un this race for nearly 40 years at this point
Two times that guy couldn’t get going in front of Mike. Two times he spun his wheels in front of Mike and couldn’t get going. Two times Mahaney had to try to avoid it the second time he got him. That’s not Mike’s fault. I believe the other guy needs to learn how to not spin his tires on restarts.
That guy has won that race 3 times, also a friend of mine, Mahaney flat spun him
@@pauljstod8804 Tell your “friend” to learn throttle control. If you spin your tires on a restart that’s your fault. Burned his tires up trying to keep up with Matt and Mahaney gets penalized. Bunch of horse 💩

Sooo what are you supposed to do when the green flag flies… and the guy in front of ya spins the tires and you have no where to go but into him.. Phelps should sit super dirt week out this time.
the issue with Mike Mahaney was BS if he can not get going spinning his wheels not 1 time but 2 times and being penalized is BULL
