Nice job. I mow more roots, sticks, and stepping stones than grass. My blades look like the grand canyon. Every 2 or 3 years I buy a new blade. My yard ( weeds ) looks like it and I don't care but my neighbors might. I have these nice yellow flowers ( dandelions ) that make it look real nice in the spring. Thanks and take care
My arnold stone kit the screw that holds the stone on backs out when i use a hand held cordless drill.Works great with old corded drill.Has anyone else have this problem. Also ran out of power I sharpen 8 blades a week. Good video
Sharpening stones are not for heavy work. If you touch up for blades every few hours of mowing it probably works fine. I keep two set of blades these days so I can swap and sharpen the set that’s off when I get around to it.
What brand is the cutting tool you used? I purchased the Funvolution blade sharpener and the shaft spun, but the cutting abrasive did not. The screw was loose and did not secure the cutter to the shaft and could not be tightened.
I’m not sure what the brand is, it came from Lowe’s, did you try reversing your drill direction, I had the issue of it spinning loose then changed the direction of the drill and it tries to tighten the screw then, no more problems
This tool works well as long as the blades aren’t to bad, if you have to remove a lot of material, it is a pretty slow process. Take majority with angle grinder then shape with tool. Or just use the angle grinder and not switch.
So far all the videos I've watched about using the lawnmower blade sharpener they only use the drill with it and never an impact driver. Makes sense since I tried putting it on an impact driver and it was loose and does not stay on.

I wrote an entire country song while you sharpened that blade. 😂

It looks like those tool rests are working out well. Thanks for the videos.

To sharpen the blade, is the grinder wheel going clock-wise or counter-clock wise?
I can’t remember for sure, I know one way you use it will cause the grinding wheel to spin loose, if it comes loose go the other way

8-9 years? Good lord dude I change blades every season.
Your rich 🤑
Great Video‼️
Thanks!
Good video my Friend. Thanks
I'd imagine you'd get a quicker result using the bit on an angle grinder.

@@WilliamsonRidge it appeared to do a nice job. Thanks for the video and the reply.
Tun the drill backwards and you won't slide off the edge so much.
After 8 years, I would have just bought a new mower blade.
Thanks for the informative video..

8 years without changing the blades bro!!! I start with mulching blades in the spring and swap to a regular set in the summer.. Homie went 8 years 🤣🤣🤣
Gracias por tu ayuda, Y excelente explicación!!!
Thanks for watching.
awesome
Only the first inch of a blade does all the cutting.
👍🤠
It would probably work best if you didn't use a Dewalt. 😂
Lol
