When fitting the second bead of the tyre you should start at the valve. You nipped the valve there which can cause a leak... I used to fit tyres, starting at the valve was one of the first thing I learnt.. The way the tyre fitter positioned the first bead was perfect but was incorrect with the second.

Stupidity trying to stretch a tyre that was not made for that rim wide!
225mm is 9 inches. A level 1 stretch is 215 . Mild . 225 would of been perfect. 235 would be manufacture spec.
