Hej B.J.N.G - just a short notice to your question regading Hilles name. She writes " The origin of my name comes from Lemberg, which is now called LVIV. my great great grandfather Henry oder Heinrich Perle moved from there to Prussia where he got married to a polish woman Christina Goralska. They had three children, one of them was my Great-Grandfather Gustav Perl. The e at the end of the name was omitted, but also maybe it was never really there, we don't know. He then was the father of my Grandfather Erich Perl who had four children, one of them was my father".

Absolutely stunning performance from you all Michala loved your performance and watch some of your playing when i want to cheer up especially with Victor Borge on his 80th birthday a very funny video you was great then as you are now. Congratulations to you all.
The story behind this work is VERY intriguing! Bach’s Flute Sonata in A major also has a complicated past. Bach notated the work himself on a series of remaining empty staves at the bottom of pages of a piece of music he had written earlier. Later on, pages were lost from the manuscript, along with many bars from the first movement. So here, too, reconstruction was necessary. The sonata as a whole was probably also a ‘reconstruction’ of an earlier work. Notes made on the manuscript suggest that it was preceded by another version - probably a ‘real’ trio sonata for recorder, violin and basso continuo. The manuscript of this flute sonata was acquired by the Royal Library in Berlin in the nineteenth century. In 1941, along with many other treasures from the library, it was rehoused for safety reasons in what is nowadays Poland. It stayed there after World War II and disappeared from view. It was returned to Berlin only in 1977, along with five other important music manuscripts. www.bachvereniging.nl/en/bwv/bwv-1032
Oh the higher range on a tenor sounds soooo pretty ❤️. I wanted to play tenor but its too big for my stumpy fingers to reach 😭! But at least I can still listen to Michala playing beautiful music for us to enjoy. Thank you.
A former greek recorder teacher of mine, once told me that Michala Petri isn't regarded as a member of the baroque society.. As i said.. Former and Greek..
Saludos.

Wonderful performance! One of the first Bach sonatas I ‘played’, and still my favourite, 40 years later! ❤️🎼🎵👏🇮🇪☘️
Fabulous and remarkable those 3 musicians: nice Petri; heavenly sounding Perl and tasteful harpsichord from Mahan.
One of the most beautiful Bach videos I've ever seen. Thanks so much for sharing 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
