Fun Fact: Leon kept his original knife from RE2, which he got from a dying Marvin Branagh, who was Leon's Lieutenant. In RE4 he gets Krauser's knife when he kills him. So Leon has a habit of only getting his knives from dead mentor figures.
This was something that I found very good in the remake, however there is a huge problem with coherence. In the Remake of 2 it was understood that Leon's Campaign in the first journey was not Canon, because playing with Claire in the first journey, Marvin tells Claire that Chris is in Europe. And in Leon's second journey, after taking the pliers to open a door after the stairs, Leon finds a police uniform and decides to wear it, unlike the first journey campaign where Leon mysteriously appears with the uniform. In addition, in the story, Claire is always ahead of Leon, such as opening the compartment where she has the G-VIRUS and the vaccine with Claire's pendant, in addition to, of course, activating the escape train However, it is a problem that can be overlooked, since both Leon and Claire end up fainting in their respective stories, meaning that the campaign for the first journey ended up being Canon as well, since if Leon is in front of Claire, when he faints , Claire stays ahead of him in the story regardless of which journey the player has chosen
@@Dioslux Capcom unfortunately stopped caring about the story of RE in the remake of 2. To this day I don't understand how they looked at the mess in the remake's story and said "It's great", when the same company managed to tie 4 different stories together in a cohesive way in Resident Evil 6. And as I said, everything indicated that the Canon of the story was Claire's first journey, more to tie the story in a dirty way with 4, they used this context of the knife and Leon, reminiscent of Marvin's at the beginning about the game. The idea of connecting the games is good, but it was done in a very wrong way, the description of the knife could have been something like "Knife given by Claire After escaping from Raccoon City" or if the knife was the same as the original it could have been something like "Combat knife that Leon received during his time in the army"
Well, in the original if Ada didn't show up, Leon would have been dead, now in the remake seems more like he never wanted to kill Leon, cause he could have slit his troath by the first interaction they had
For the people who didn't understand krauser was working with Leon together and he always sees Leon as a rookie but he had some envy that Leon's was rated more than him so he wanted to show his place and kidnapped the president's daughter which called Ashley but it was too late for krauser since the las plagas took over him so Leon had to kill him.

Old Re4: Krauser just wanted a Absolute power and nothing can stop him Re4 remake: He betray his nation because of the Politics problem, they abandoning Krauser's army after operation Javier. Y'know, it just like call of duty lore. The operation Javier will probably get the Remake lore cause from Re Dark chronicles, it's completely different story Edit: Whoa holy moly 😳 ,thx for the likes 👍
In "Operation Javier", playing as Krauser, you can hear his thoughts. For the most part, he did not like that he was a pawn in this mission. At the beginning of the mission, Krauser considered himself the main one in this task, but when it turned out that Leon was working for the president and he was the main one, he was hurt. In addition, he begins to envy Leon to some extent. In his opinion, the government just used it. Referring to the wound, Krauser retired from military service, and then was declared dead in a car accident. Probably at that moment he teamed up with Wesker. So his motivation didn't change much in the remake.
I prefer his story and his interactions with Leon in this remake. He was more of a tragic character, Leon literally just moved on in two seconds in the original but in this remake you could tell they cared about each other. And Krauser showed some pride in Leon in his last moments. That being said the original did knock it out of the park. And I still prefer Krauser’s original voice. It was so badass. But I personally think he’s more well-written in the remake.
I would like an operation Javier dlc where you could play both Leon or Krauser with different viewpoints. And can't wait for Separate ways and Ada & Wesker for RE mercenaries
Luis: so what do you think Leon, people can change right? Luis final word hits hard since his words refer to krauser, who turned evil from good and Luis himself turned good from evil
The original was also broken due to the circumstances of "Operation: Javier". The primary reason he joins Wesker and infiltrates Los Illuminados is due to his desire to attain power, but he does truly believe in Wesker's vision. My guess, he wanted a leader he could follow and his last mission as a soldier broke his remaining trust in his superiors and his nation. Remake Krauser seems to be more traumatized and shares a more mentor-mentee relationship with Leon.
People easily forgot that he trained Leon and he really loved and cared about leon but he sold his soul for money and became a evil If he wanted to kill leon he had so many chances he could have killed but he believed that leon is tje only person that must defeat him not another person that's why he went so hard on leon to get himself killed
