My original Soda Stream machine lasted for over 4 years. I recently bought a new one, but it would not connect to my CO2 bottle, because Soda Stream changed the type of valve on their CO2 bottles. I show my various attempts to make use of my old CO2 system with the new Soda Stream. This video was not sponsored.

Loved your video. What makes it expecially excellent are the fails and attempts to fix them. Your final solution shows your ingenuity for fabrication for success that for many will be inspiring. Excellent camera work as well as fine explanations. I have no metal lathe or welding experience but completely appreciate what you produced.
Thank you!
Um some Teflon plastic wrap.. .. it may be hard to get back off
It sure will be! For this purpose I like to make the connections close to permanent
I just bought a Terra and plan to buy the $45 adapter hose from Amazon.
Nice! I’m pretty sure I made this 10x more difficult than it had to be! Still working great though. Let us know how the adapter hose works!
@@btechnol I got the hose with a metal braid. Having 900psi in a hose makes me a bit nervous so I turn off the tank at night. When I turn the tank back on in the morning I don't hear any hiss, so apparently the hose assembly holds its pressure and doesn't leak.
@davejoseph5615 awesome! Sounds like it is leak free!
I dropped Sodastream simply because they do not offer the proprietary repair parts to replace the cheap rubber/plastic parts that fail, wear out, and leak.
Yeah, that kinda stuff really makes me angry.
That was my same idea. Take the bottle valve off and have the threading part welded to the bottom of it
cool
Right on
