We die to self, when we live for Jesus, which includes taking on suffering, persecution, putting our own wants and needs aside to glorify Jesus, so that others can see the light through us. We should be saying, here I am Lord, your servant is listening. What can I do today to glorify you, Lord Jesus? I pray this video humbles us, we recognize how unforgiving we have been to others and so prideful to think that we even have a choice in the matter, not to forgive those that wrong us and that we have an option, not to obey. We don't have an option not to follow what Jesus commands of us. I pray we start to give each other abundance of grace and to always abound in love in all we do and speak. Pierce our heart Lord to humble ourselves at your feet and in all we do we first seek the kingdom and be obedient to obey your ways, repenting for thinking we are above you. We love because you first loved us, and we know that your Love never fails! God is Love! In Jesus name, Amen.

This book brought me to God. Take it as literal as you can. It is the reality of man from birth to death. Only Jesus reality change puts us into the promise.

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV) Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
    I love this....

Ecclesiastes, in my opinion, is a really effective book to speak into this generation of people who have bought into the post modern ethos. Not everything in post modernism is negative as it is a corrective to modernism.

    Tim Mackie,
I have loved the book of Ecclesiastes for years because it offered me the true meaning of life and the whole duty of man.
However, I didn't know the meanings of vanity (hevel) or the fact that the writer was anonymous.
You have given me more reasons to love this book. I appreciate the visual examples using the pipe. Thank you and your ministry.

It is time for believers worldwide to WAKE UP, get serious about reading the WORD, obeying what we read and STOP putting our trust in man!
Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart turns away from Yahweh"(Jeremiah 17:5)
We have been LIED TO in Churches about the Name above all names. Our Creator has a Name - YAHWEH and He put His Name upon His one and only begotten Son - YAHSHUA.
Be on guard before Him and obey His voice. Do not rebel against Him, for He is not going to pardon your transgression, for My Name is in Him." (Exodus 23:21)
We have been LIED TO about the SABBATHS of Yahweh.
Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to Yahweh, to serve Him, and to love the Name of Yahweh, to be His servants, all who guard the Shabbath, and not profane it, and hold fast to My Covenant - them I shall bring to My qodesh mountain, and let them rejoice in My house of prayer." (Isaiah 56:6-7)
We Have been LIED TO about the COMMANDS of Yahweh.
And by this we know that we know Him, if we guard His Commands. The one who says, 'I know Him,' and does not guard His Commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever guards His Word, truly the love of Elohim has been perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. (1 John 2:3-5)
It is time to PRAY for an opening of BLINDED EYES to understand His loving Covenant to ISRAEL, who we MUST be GRAFTED IN TO to become the children of Yah! It's time to shelve our learning inherited from "the whore" and become as little children to allow the Spirit of Yah to re-instruct us in the TRUTH!
Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become as little children, you shall by no means enter into the reign of the shamayim." (Matthew 18:3)
It's time to CLEAN UP our act and to cease wallowing in the abominations and lusts of the world!
Come out from among them and be separate, says יהוה, and do not touch what is unclean, and I shall receive you." (2 Corinthians 6:17)
A total enslavement is coming very very soon. You want Truth with Scripture go to 2besaved dot com.

Jesus says he is the living water and that if you drink him, you will never thirst again. What else does this mean except that you will find fulfillment through him?
And if God will grant neither fulfillment nor a clear idea of what I should do with myself, what good is he?

    • @strangerinmoscow6858
      @strangerinmoscow6858 3 ปีที่แล้ว

Well if you are still trying to find yourself, then you haven't found Jesus. How do I know this? I'm not sure of your situation, but I used to be in a similar boat. The question you ask was very identical to mine. Not so much the what is the "good of God," but more "fulfillment of myself" "clear idea of what I should do with myself"

''Ecclesiastes is essentially a kind of negative theologian ,he is asking questions that can be answered only by a future revelation of God and clearing the road for this revelation he smashes any and all false hopes to pieces. Ecclesiastes is the bible's night before Christmas.Ecclesiastes is humans' self sufficiency stretched to its absolute limit and found sadly wanting..and if that's where Ecclesiastes leaves us that's where the bread and the cup that we take when we come to worship ,the songs, the coming of Christ to us become the Christmas. This can only be good news until we find our own needs and self sufficiency sadly wanting. Its the bad news before the good news."

@@loraz5343 you have no idea how negatively that simple example was for me on thag day.
Some people struggle with this addiction, if a teacher wouldnt use this in school, if a boss wouldn't use it to his workers as an example, shouldnt we as a church have a higher standard. We need to be deeper and think deeper as christians , come on.
We not supoose to to destroy the temple of God, we are his temple, its a known fact that smoking causes cancer ect so why would u purposely do it from the poolpit

I don't align or relate with any of his analogies. We are not promised a world without troubles. We learn that the things of the flesh that we covet are meaningless, without lasting value. Our time in this world is temporary, but we don't live for this life but for the next. Eternity in God's Kingdom. If we align our thoughts with God's thoughts while we are in this world, through the Holy Spirit, we find that our desires of the flesh don't matter, we seek the peace and joy that only comes from the Holy Spirit. We have strength to rise above what the sinful world can do to us. God gives us peace in trials and suffering.
Anyway, I think the message is fine but his presentation isn't for me.
Anyway, there are many blessings in the world, when we see it through God's eyes. Life is worth living, especially when we give it all to Our Father!!!

Aint no way dude whips out a pipe and starts puffin mid sermon! Good idea or bad, wow, what a shockingly distracting illustration! Def hit people and got their attention on many levels. Im still personally pondering what to make of it.

This guy is progressive through and through and does not teach the Bible in context, correctly. He injects what he wants it to say, not what it actually says. Examples include; the atonement and the topic of hell.

Is it cold there? You have a knit cap on. Also, why do you dress so slovenly? Doesn't an audience deserve you dress up? Not in something you might wear to bed?

Is his choice of clothing more important than the attempted description of a book in the Bible?

Hans Hoerdemann how about not judging him by what he wears but instead by what he says and how he lives for Jesus?! I understand that you are probably used to preachers wearing suits but think about how Jesus , the best teacher/preacher ever, and how he probably dressed.

by saying he needs to be better dressed, you are inferring that he is better, higher or over you, this is not biblical. We are all priests, he is the one speaking now, that's all.

Most likely it's a cultural observation. When I lived in Europe and wore sneakers everywhere it was misunderstood that I was not a serious person. Most people in that culture wore leather shoes. It's whatever you're used to seeing. Being in that culture, I started wearing leather shoes and assimilated into their culture. It was a sign of respect. This is a great lesson by Tim. I don't watch it, I listen to him. To each his own.

This is the most rambling, off-point, ineffectual explanation of Ecclesiates I habe ever heard. Star-Wars reference? really? and then more rambling beating around the bush.
