Thanks for this tutorial! However, I had an issue when bringing up anchor points in the video timeline for the first star layer. When I click "V" while selected on the mask it does not bring up any anchor points :(

I LOOOOOVE PS and all the creative stuff you can do with it... I'm a rookie in PS and found your video really helpful. I was trying to show the sparkle effect on our product which is not possible to show with photography only... do you have any advice how I can make it look realistic as in reality the gold glitters are very subtle and I want our customers to see this. We do sell our product online. Thank you!

I would use layer styles, try inner and outer glow. Work with the size and distance to get the effect you want.

In the video I mentioned I showed how to make the “shine” similar to what I did in this video. In that video I made the sparkles manually, here I’m showing you how to get the look with a brush (much faster)

Thanks for the request, I’ll add it to my list. I have something similar with gold paint th-cam.com/video/QFfaj0WLEG0/w-d-xo.html it is a very similar process the difference would be in the colors you choose.

I dont know whenever I do it, my stars come off as transparent and not very bright, what could be the issue?

Make sure the center of the brush design is completely black any other color will have some transparency. It shout fade out from black in the center to light gray/white
