It was such a shame when Rick passed. He was such a genuine nice guy and really never got pissed when people recognised him and came over while he was busy. I was friends with him when he lived over the road from me in Teddington. I watered his house plants when he went on tour. great video 👍
I first saw Quo in 1979 at Wembley Arena on the WYW tour - and seven weeks later I was back at Hammersmith! Hooked or what? I've been to see them on average once a year, but the FF reunion was a show not to be missed. Great to see them back together again at Hammersmith, playing the old songs, and getting hooked all over again.
Deep down he knows it. Drugs brought out his worst. I met him in the early 70’s . More of an accidental encounter. He and Rick in public out for the day relaxing. I was only 12 or 13 years old. He was a bully to us. Being kids and being near them was to much for him. He was a real bogan. Didn’t like him at all. Followed them ever since. The music and excitement live was just too much to resist.
I'm just thankful for the part he played in the classic years. And ohh so thankful that he agreed to the two "Frantic Four" tours. Would have bet my worldly goods of that ever happening.
@@wingchun-simplekungfu7584 It's not that deep down - he has admitted it several times. But even during the FF tours, he said (in his autobio) that a lot of the old frictions came back and he wanted to leave that behind.
I don't see any sort of arguments with the QUO or bullshit that some other bands.have experienced...likeCCR...who I am also a big fan of(Fogerty)some one said status quo only know3chords.....3or 4.....chords well that's what great songs are made up of... It's how a band work on with chords,riffs,runs...to produce the best songs...so many great musicians from Brittan....the united kingdom.......Francis Rossi is one of my music idols
There's a lot more to making great rock songs. Then just hitting 3or4 chords....(Where I read some one put in a reply to QUOs songs....I play a bit of guitar but I ain't no pro.......Status Quo one of the best rock bands ever JSW...AUstralia.....good on ya mate
So , follow a band , life brings some twists and turns , spend the rest of the time pissing and moaning . I dont get it , if the band is still there then with the members left its still the band , i dont recall this whiney bitching with changes to deep purple or hawkwind or ac dc . Its a mystery to me . I dont understand

47:49 Wow! Dave Hill no less! Presumably, he just "popped in" as the band were in his neighbourhood.
AND Jimmy Lea.
1/2 a Slade reunion ...
It's a shame Francis doesn't want to be there.
Within seconds the sound is QUO! Not the 1984 + band.
Great band ever !!!!!
Sad as it is I.might be wrong but to me francis doesn't seem genuine
Francis doesn't seem to realise that this is the real Quo and the 84
plus band is a parody, what a shame.
Francis killed the original band shame on him 😢

I feel in ear monitors have destroyed live rock gigs.
yep , for me as a guitarist I always hated them , give me speaker wedges anyday.
