    Great paper idea! The possibilities are endless. Maybe put something in between the layers like dried flower petals and paint with a light, translucent color for faux handmade paper.

      I agree….I wanted to use the colors in the group challenge and wasn’t overly confident the strips of toilet paper would hold the shape but it worked out nicely. I think tissue paper is certainly easier but then the prompt wasn’t tissue paper!😂

      I like that idea with dried flowers. I'll try it!!

      Like the paperwork. Wondering if it can work for paper beads.🎉

    Most 'fancy' papers to collage with also have 'fancy' prices. This is ingenious and has m-a-n-y applications. Thank you SO much! 🙂

      You are so welcome and so right! There is a ton of variations you could do now that we know it works!

    I'm fascinated that you painted the TP first and then put glue/water on the back. Seems counterintuitive but it makes total sense to strengthen the paper first. I've got to try this technique as toppers for the pro-Palestinian journals I'm planning. TFS!

      The paint did a good job of binding it together but I thought the glue would add extra…you could start with the glue mix which makes great sense!

      There are so many possibilities with this-my goal in this project was just to see how toilet paper took the paint and IF it would stay together!!

    Love the texture created. Also learned a new idea with putting holes through the paper. Nicely done.

    Thank you so much I really really enjoyed watching you create the toilet paper, paper. And then to create the collages. Great video. I really really love ❤❤❤❤ this. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤

      Thank you so much! This was definitely experimental-I wasn’t confident it would work as the tp was really low quality. (Some of the only rolls left during the Covid run on toilet paper)!
      I’m very happy you are liking the things I do!!

      It did create great paper, I think it could be more interesting by adding different colors and stencils

    This project is fantastic! I recently did something similar using TP and my embossing folders. I am very happy with the results. If I were on Facebook, I would share. I like your project better because I love the use of paint. I didn't think to try that. I did use some saved wipe up paper towels that had lots of color and some recycled confetti tissue paper. I am so curious about what next month's challenge will be!!! TFS. 🥰🙏

    Very nicely done. That was an ambitious project for you to take on making such big sheets of it that way. I have done this technique before however, I didn’t do it in those large sizes. I just made them about the size of a embossing folder, and after they were partially dry, I actually even ran them through the embossing folder for a pattern. I will try to make some up and submit it over on your Facebook page. Great job thanks Peg.

      @TwoOldCrowsMixedMedia  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, I’ve done that before as well but I’m not sure everyone has an embossing machine so I tried to do something that everyone had access to! Did you catch the colors😉

      Well, not a very artistic endeavor but, then again, my prompt for this month was toilet paper and to tubes😂. I was very curious to see if the toilet paper would hold up!😂

    wow. what a super idea for textured paper, bravo! I’m curious about the matt spray you used, would it be odorless? I’ve been looking for a spray to seal layers, as you did, that I wouldn’t need to bring my project out of my studio to spray.

    • @TwoOldCrowsMixedMedia
      @TwoOldCrowsMixedMedia  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No it was not odorless at all-I opened the door and windows to spray in my studio, if he had not been raining-I would have taken it outside-I used a kilt brand from the hardware store in a clear matte!

      That’s a great question! I know it can but I ran it through an embossing folder first!! I plan on doing a video next week on all questions that have been received on a couple of the videos! Stay tuned and I’ll give it a try
