Maybe not your scene but some Psychedelic Trance djs gave me the same vibe. I'm jazz drummer btw so this isn't just some fanboy gobbledygook.
This was in 67, much before Miles recorded his electric stuffs, so Herbie was a jazz rock artist pioneer.
I adore and admire the adventurism and dauntlessness of Mr. Herbie Mann - +😎group.
He always had had excellent jazz vibraphonists in his Band.

Classic Herbie...if it weren't for my getting my feet wet thru Herbie in the jazz idiom as a youngster, I would have been stuck with Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis.
