Thank you Manny! I personally have nothing against Mt. Carmel or Bernardo, but their shows are designed "cleverly" and so, persuade a panel of judges in their favor.

Simple show. Low degree of difficulty. That's why its clean. That's why they score so high.

I think they make it look easy. Big difference. No gimmicks. No over used crowd pleasing tropes. My opinion.
um their music and drill was difficult.
Music was great and they are very good at visuals. But if you watch, they stay within 25 yard markers. Most 6A bands go to the 10 yard markers or further. Staying within the smaller grid makes it easier. Also, when they reach their dots they stay there for 15 to 30 seconds only performing visuals. Not much movement. In my opinion the Band Director and Visual Directors are geniuses. They figured out exactly what the SCSBOA judges are looking for. I don't think judges look at degree of difficulty, which is why this type of show does so well in the SCSBOA circuits. This show wouldn't fly in the WBA or BOA circuits IMO. Its perfect for SCSBOA.
I see your point. Even if mt carmel did "cheat the system" they still executed it very well other than the other 6A bands.

If you guys search up Madison Central KMEA 5A 2014 basically the same show music wise and theme wise... still a great show...
