I bought a used Commercial Husqvarna 61" with a Kawasaki twin engine almost 20 years ago for $2100. I put two belts, one used hydro pump (200 bucks), a couple of sets of blades, two control dampers for the handles. The hydro pump replacement could have been avoided, my fault. Used commercial for residential use has been a winner for me....
The cub cadet was a fan deck because a stamped deck is not welded. They are formed completely be stamping in a press. I worked for years in a small engine shop as a tech
I see they've made some changes since my purchase May 5th 2020 I have the 42" with Kholer 22 and stamp round Deck I'm at 150 hrs also the large battery and my throttle lever is metal not plastic. So far it's been pretty good. I paid $2750 from my local dealer.
If you only had $1500 to spend for a residential lawn tractor or used Zero Turn what would be a good one used if in good condition. I found for sale a Club Cadet RZT-L in great condition with 625 hours for $1300 delivered. Guy bought a zero with suspension is what he is selling it. Anyone familiar with this one? Your videos and knowledge is top notch so hank you for the time you put into your great videos.
I used to mow with an exmark quest (residential mower) back 4 years ago when I first started, it did great to get started with but it definitely ended up not holding together with comercial use
Great videos man! One thing I will be looking at when I make my next purchase is blade tip speed. Also I hate toe guards blocking the deck chute, nothing but grass clumpers.
I remember seeing that during editing and thinking thise fitting will not only be hard to get to but also they will get worn from the grass sticks and sand
cub cadet has a steering wheel version that can mow a 20 degree slope called the ultima ztxs4 it looks just as good as the ztx4. been thinking of getting that mower to replace the john deere d140 i have
I enjoyed the basic comparison "sheet" in the second video which you did not do for the 1st video. Before you get to the THIRD video and a enhanced basic comparison sheet CAN YOU COMPLETE a one page comparison of the first video and post that SOONER?
These are great videos. I am looking at the cub cadet zt1R model, comes with Kawasaki engine and fabricated deck for $700 more than the zt1. I like the bad boy magnum too
Hi so watching your videos you compare bad boy and scagg. You didn't say whether you'd take a bad boy vs cub cadet or a husqvarna. You did say that you'd take the husqvarna over the cub cadet. Is it just the difference in price range?
Between the Scagg, Bad Boy and Cud Cadet it really comes down to price. All 3 of those are great. Is money was an issue I'd probably go with Scagg. Another factor to consider is the dealership. Their location and customer service is a important
The toro/exmark branded engines are made by loncin whos been making motorcylce engines since the 80s 90s? We sold a ton of them and didnt see any issues 3 years into their release.
I have a service manual for John Deere lt mower so I can see how to grease the transmission unless you have a video on how to do that for a John Deere lt mower with a manual transmission More over I Lt 133 38 inch cutting deck
Surprised at the quality of those cub cadets but MTD leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The Stihl (rebadged Ferris) looks ok, but the question is would it be worth buying over an actual Ferris?. Not a fan of that ex mark/toro branded engine, if you look closer on the label looks like it’s made in China. Probably a cheap clone engine. Shame they have gone to using those instead of a Kawasaki or Kohler.
@@marekkrepa9982 The cub cadets are higher quality, no doubt about it, but MTD (who makes Troy Bilt, Cub Cadet, Bolens, etc) has a lot of really poor designs and I wouldn’t want to own one of their products. The beefy frame and deck is great, but it’s the small things you don’t see that will show themselves later on.
@@JerryCombs1 Its all preference and depends on what grass you're cutting and an what height. Most of my customers are professional landscapers and many of them do very high end properties. I dont know of any of them that bad the clippings. Many of them do use XHT Predator mulching blades or Oregon brand mulching blades even without a mulching kit.
I sat on several mowers at a dealer the other day. I'm sure its personal preference but the Cub Cadet felt so cheap when you sit on it. Instant no for me.
@@Mechanical_Mind I think you’ll be disappointed but leaning towards a Toro. My budget is a little higher so looking at the Titan line. Features to feature it costs a little more. But it feels the most refined. I’m sure they all make grass shorter. But some are so overbuilt but still don’t feel quality. Gravely was maybe my second favorite. The John Deere don’t seem worth what they cost with stamped decks on a $8k machine. Really didn’t like the cub. For some reason I don’t care for the bad boy, could be the name or color.

Would love to see a video like this for entry level commercial mowers around the 13-15k price range. Think things are more competitive here.

Thanks!
The Stihl mower is a rebadged Ferris

Another category you could do is the frame thickness.
Your videos are so informative. Great stuff!! Can’t thank you enough
Thanks Tony. Its viewers like you that apperciate the effort it takes that makes it worth it.

Well done M & M! I have always liked the Cadets.
Thanks RJ!
12:54 it’s got grease zerks but there under the deck… that’s a nice inaccessible spot.
I remember seeing that during editing and thinking thise fitting will not only be hard to get to but also they will get worn from the grass sticks and sand
Would love to see a 6-8 price range
Could you find and check out the new 2023 version of the Ariens Ikon 42 ? Awesome upgrades from 2022. But I do want your opinion before purchasing,
Love your videos. Would love to get some of your opinions on SCAGs . Personally my top 3 are scag/exmark and wright following
Can you add Ariens and Gravely into the mix. I'm interested in the Ikon xd or stepping into a similar Gravely.
Hi Denis. I went over some Ariens ane Gravleys in this video. th-cam.com/video/TBCQixtpu38/w-d-xo.html
Any recommendations 17 acres all flat, 50- 60 inch cut zero turn recommendations? Thanks

Never heard anything about Stihl mowers, or even seen one in use but 4 wheel suspension at that price has me interested. Anyone have any thoughts?
I’m looking to get one also. I’m debating if I should get a bad boy or stihl.
I bought the sthil 52" it's an excellent mower smooth and powerful
Fantastic!
The big question is how are they to work on when stuff inevitably go bad?
In my opinion and based on my past experiences Bad Boys and Hustler's are the easiest to work on.
I need help. 5 acres, want good speed, 60 inch deck. Recommendations???

Gotta subscribe to see that final video and your top pick for the lower range zero turn. Getting g ready to buy 1.
These are great videos. I am looking at the cub cadet zt1R model, comes with Kawasaki engine and fabricated deck for $700 more than the zt1. I like the bad boy magnum too
I really liked the Cub Cadets I looked at
I do like the overall quality and looks of the Cub.
Along with the open frame design.
The X-lent paint looks like it may be powder coated ?

The plugs are still in the hydro gear transaxle 😂😂😂

EZT stands for “economical zero turn” so the ZT is actually the better trans. Which Stihl would win in the lower class range

Why you comparing mtd to cub cadet? Two different things
@@marekkrepa9982Cub Cadet is a wholly owned subsidiary of MTD
@andybub45 Milwaukee and Ryobi is made by same owner in one factory . Please do some homework . They are different

B/S twin ok but Kaw got them all beat badly
I like the John Deere.
Which do you prefer between the Bad Boy in the first video and the Cub Cadet in the second?
I dont think you can go wrong with eithet but if I had to choose Id go with the Cub Cadet.
@Mechanical_Mind So out of all of the mowers with $5k budget. Mowing 1.3 acres what would you recommend.
@@JerryCombs1 $5k puts you in higher level. At the $5k Id get the Husqvarna Xcite 350. www.husqvarna.com/us/zero-turn-mowers/xcite-z350/

The ezt 2200 is actually worse than thr standard zt2100. Gotta give the win to exmark
I’ve had it with Briggs terribly designed compression releases that always break and Briggs could care less
I don't like that giant chute opening on the Cadet...
The cub doesn’t have arm rests.
Do not like bar at bottom of deck
No Toro or Bobcat reviews...
John Deere is the best z370R
The Cub Cadet sucks
The deck is only connected at three points instead of four
The deck is unstable and shakes a lot
