    I'm half mexican and I have the exact sort of of half wavy half curly hair you do. I'm totally going to try this the next time I leave my hair curly. You're right its like a 50/50 hit or miss to whether it's going to look good or not and it's so frustrating.

    Please make video, actually using the products, styling your hair to achieve your curly-ish look. From the time you get out of the shower and what you put in, while hair is wet, and then what steps exactly to follow. Thank you, look forward to seeing that video😍

    • @MelissaAlatorre
      @MelissaAlatorre  7 ปีที่แล้ว +64

      I just let someone else know that I wanted to do that but because most of the steps took place in the shower it made it hard to film so I decided to do it like this - but future tutorials and all my past ones always show step by step!

    I’ve spent years frustrated with my hair trying to figure out what my hair type is, how to style it, what product to use, and having done so many trail and errors. I tried this, and just by using a antifrizz conditioner, Aussie, and the r and b creme in the wrap, my hair looks SO GOOD!!! I was about to cry lol. Thank you so much for making this video!! Finally someone with my hair type who posted a how to video!!! My hair, loves, and appreciates you lol ❤️😘☺️🔥🔥🔥😝

      Eliana Landa how?!?!

    • @elianalanda7159
      @elianalanda7159 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Jenny Platypus I don't know lmao, I just let my hair air dry and my hair just gets wavy/curly naturally and the next day, my hair looks more tamed. And I prefer it that way, it looks more natural, and grungy 😁 and I love using more natural shampoo and conditioner, like the shea moisture line (I think that's what it's called) if I blow dry my hair, it looks worse lmao

    • @katsitsiaientos1
      @katsitsiaientos1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Eliana Landa I'm the same way. blow drying just makes the course ness into frizz. To further tame my waist length hair when it is still slightly damp I'll put in in a low loose bun for about half an hour and it turns into nice loose waves, for more curls I'll do Princess Leia buns but very tight and get gorgeous curls. No products needed.

    This is going to sound crazy (I have wavy/Spanish curly hair) the microfiber towel was my GO TO before I my sister told me to use a Shamwow instead..
    It's a little stiff at first but once it starts to soak up the water/dry your hair it produces miracles and dries your hair that much faster! Try it!

    I took a shower the other day and I got a perm a couple months ago, and the natural wave helps the curls stay in after I take a shower. My hair also air drys so much better than a diffuser. It just makes it more crunchy after blow drying!

      I had the same problems a vew years ago (really messy/sometimes greasy hair in the morning after I wake up).
      Put your hair in a really loose (the tyniest bit of pressure please- so as to "hold" the hair in place) ponytail up your temple (I call it "the pineapple") - take a hairband that is kinda "loose" (a thin one works for me the best). If you wake up just remove the hairband and let your hair fall loose and pick it (with a pick or wide tooth comb) and lay the strands of your hair to your liking. It took me a couple of nights to get it but it works really well - I can go up to 2 nights/ 3 days (my personal max.) with this method before I wash my hair again.
      I hope this helps you a bit.

    Melissa! How do you get volume at the top of your hair, mainly the crown area when you let your hair air dry? I have the same hair type and if I let my hair airdry it's flat from the top

      @Sharleen91 7 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      Ayeshah Ali It could be your haircut, maybe your hair is too heavy so you may need your stylist to take some weight off your hair, not necessarily length.

      Ayeshah Ali I have the same problem and I recently saw a stylist, and asked her to help me with the 'flat top' problem. She gave me a lot of layers and that helped for a month, but now I have gone back to flat hair.

      my hair is so thick that sometimes even after its airdryed, i'll sleep with braids and when i wake up the next day, theres curls at the roots so maybe you could do that

      for me, it's as simple as parting your hair in a different way! if you usually part your hair on the right side for example, part it on the left when it's wet and then when it's dry, just move your hair back over with your hand and it'll give you that messy voluminous look she has. you can also use a volumizing spray to set it in place. i like it because it's quick and easy and it's less drastic than cutting your hair bc i know a lot of people are really attached to their length.

    My hair is the same texture as yours. I never blow dry it. It's down to my waist, so I honestly go straight up hippie...I just layer products and let it dry in a loose braid or twist it up and pin it.

    • @AromaticBeauty
      @AromaticBeauty 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      lizeto91 Turns out I already had it in my bathroom. I did it the way Melissa recommend but its too heavy for my hair. I'm using Schwarzkopf end repair and putting it straight on my hair before I put my hair in a t-shirt. It makes my hair super soft but doesn't give me the piecey hair look. I guess if I didn't use so much of the Lush product it might be okay. Hope my rant helps you a little lol
