    I recomend electriction gloves that insulate electricity if your unable to turn off power to a circuit even I don’t have those it will help you be insulated from electricity

    I’m not sure if you ever caught or maybe you did at the end of the video, that motherboard and bare bonding wire are very close looks like a future short coming along one day, I’d move or wrap it if you can.

    Nice that way if the fire alarm panel goes of for no reason(which is unlikely)on power outage the strike plate would be unlocked

    Does that 12V UPS have an alarm doesn't seem like the blue lights can be seen through the door.

    Those ups battery’s do need to be replaced if it stops holding charge as it’s probable too old when that happens

    Got a parts list? Do they make a board that does 24 VAC output instead of DC?

      This was a pretty cheap Chinese power supply they didn’t give me any parts list but I don’t think it would be hard to find a 24 V version or a different brand that makes one

    CC negative and AC "earth" are different thing.... and you want to combine them :)))

    How do you even know if it’s on battery mode?

    • @nics-systems-electric
      @nics-systems-electric  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don’t know

    • @VOLTRONDEFENDER4440
      @VOLTRONDEFENDER4440 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nics-systems-electric huh so the only way you know the power is off is the fire alarm panel and the ups battery for the garage door opener and camera beeps

    • @nics-systems-electric
      @nics-systems-electric  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@VOLTRONDEFENDER4440 Well it’s on the same circuit as the 120 V UPS and some other things so that would be a pretty clear indication that it has no power

    what is that for

    • @nics-systems-electric
      @nics-systems-electric  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the power goes out so it will still work and I can still open the door

    Well sorry but this is a good vid all I all but it has very little practical use in the real world!!
    If it's not Altronix made then I won't even touch it !! That looks a mom and pop UPS for like grocery or small type business... Anyway go and do some Altronix vids instead!!

      It works and gets the job done so it’s fine with me for the amount it gets used if there is ever a problem with it I will upgrade it to something better but for now it’s fine
