- Welcome back to the 888MF TH-cam channel. In this video we compare three generations of V8 Ferrari. The 360 Challenge Stradale, 430 Scuderia and 458 Speciale. All three are mid-engined and naturally aspirated. These hardcore Ferrari models are all special but drive very differently. I hope you enjoy and please feel to comment, like and subscribe.

That 360 Challenge Stradale is just gorgeous. With that deep blu which you would expect only on elegant cars. It creates such a dualism yet it feels so right!
When the 430 came out i thought it was one of the most amazing cars, especially the Scuderia.

430 Scuderia ll the way. Love the Stradale, but just too slow. in the 430 you are always on the edge. completely thrilling car.

D Wnright I’ve driven a friend’s 360 CS and it lacks real world power. My regular F430 is noticeably faster in straight line acceleration.
F430 Ferrari I had an F430 and is by far less exciting car than the Challenge Stradale. Today there are faster cars and motorcycles too, but that is not the question. It is the experience of driving a pure car as it is no longer manufactured; Neither Scud or Speciale are as special as CS it is

loving his tone and accent. The music is also great. You can feel the passion through his talk. He also knows about cars. Most ignorants would have said the 458 is better just because its newer when the reality is that the Challange is the last true Ferrari

Of all three I feel as though the F430 has the best looks (458/488 look a bit animated). It also appears to have a lot of character and a good looking rear end 😉.

my faveorite ferrari is and always will be the 430 scuderia
Would love a 360 spider with that shade of blue the 360 Challenge has. Go with three pedals in the foot well and the stick to stir the gears, plua those thin shelled race seats to get just a bit more room for the extra size I carry. What a nice ride that has to be on an empty two-lane scenic road with some nice corners to keep it all interesting.

Schumacher also had a hand in the CS. The Scud, btw, did come from the 430 Challenge Series and the Speciale, from the GT3 tech in the 430 WEC cars.

430 S is by far my Favorite Ferrari ever made, besides the FXX Evo.
And not to be a snob or anything, but I believe the 2008 California was the first car to feature the 7 speed dual clutch.
Yes! 430 Scuderia is my all time favourite road legal car and the FXX Evoluzione my all time favourite car in general.

Nice video. I will say that you should use clip on mics in the cars as a lot of the audio is hard to hear. I use a Tascam with a mic and sync the audio in PSM in FCP. I'd like to hear more of this as well, but was a good video still.

Aaaah so this is the Challenge I've seen driving around Chelsea and Fulham. Stunning in the flesh. There's another Red one who's local.
Shame they don't have the most beautiful and engaging of all the mid engine V8's, the F355. Ferrari's version of the 993, the last of the true analogues, with that gated gear box, the sound, the poise and modern performance, yet that classic look, design and even smell of the older classics.
James Whitehorn The F1 box on the 355 was awful and I didn't want to compare a manual car to three paddle shift cars

I’d take the 360cs
As a Speciale Aperta owner the one thing I disagree with is that the growl of the V8 at low revs is so mean and very low pitched which I love. You can just tell that the car wants to go fast.

F430 scud best design
Really wanted to see more of the cars in action. Hearing about them is great but without more driving, I feel like I never got what I wanted from this video. More exhaust sounds too, saying it sounds amazing and then playing a 1 second clip of part of an acceleration run isn't cutting it.

Would love to have every single one, ridden in all of them, owen a Speciale, and that’s the car I would keep, you never get a better feeling at 150 on a valley road
Love how small the 360 is in comparison, i think it would make it a better back road carver. The speciale and scuderia look like boats in comparison i never realized.

Great video - 430 Scud for me is the ideal middle ground between the other two, and for me looks the nicest ... Then 360 ... 458 doesn't do it for me at all ...
James Hibbert I would agree. Scuderia is a nice balance between the two. However the Challenge Stradale sounds epic!!!
F430 looks the best for me as well when it comes to Ferrari. 993 body style when it comes to Porsche :))

In general the 430 is my least favourite but in this instance I think it’s the one I’d choose 🌇
whats with the lighting/filter on the video, the colors come off as dull. These cars and color look much better in person or in other videos...

CS all day long!
I noticed online that your 360 CS was t-boned by a bus. What happened? Is the car ok? Maybe you shouldn't have had James in the car with you after his 430 Scud incident. It was bad luck haha.
The chassis was fine but there was extensive bodywork damage and the third party responsible agreed to pay me out in full for the car so I no longer own it. I suffered whiplash injuries as a result of the accident so it wasn't pleasant.
888MF Well it's good you're ok now. It's too bad you had to let the car go. It was a rare and beautiful colour combination. But I guess that's life. A chance to move on. Maybe to a Laferrari!
