    Have you ever flipped the Discovery 119 and gone into the water?

      No, but I also never had it anywhere that has fast moving water like a river. Still, it is a very stable canoe and I feel safe in it.

    Have you tested the stability of this in larger bodies of waters where the water is a little choppy from boats passing by? Curious to know if it can handle the occasion wave given it’s low sides. Thanks

      Hey Carlos, Thank you for your question. I did take the Discovery 119 Solo Sportsman out in a saltwater estuary about two years ago, and did a video on it. I believe it’s titled “Discovery 119 Solo Sportsman’s first time in salt” and I did face some wakes from the boaters passing through the channel. Check out that video and hopefully that will give you an idea about how it handles in some chop.

    Got a couple questions for you. Im looking at getting this kayak for duck hunting as well as creek fishing. Hows its overall stability? Have you tested out the max weight recomendation on it? Do you think I could install a powerpole micro on it for occasional use? And do you feal it has a lot of storage in it for hauling gear? I have seen one in the stores but have never paddled one. Just am curious. Considered an ascend h12 but dont want the extra 20lbs of weight.

      Excellent questions, thank you! This canoe is exceptionally stable and would be fantastic for duck hunting and it’s size would be great for creek fishing. However, due to me using it for its simplicity, I personally have never tested the max weight capacity.

      @@flbasspaddler I hope so, my concern was just mounting a powerpole on it as I have not seen this be done yet on this model. Really could use it for my creek and river fishing as well as on ponds and wetlands.

    Whats the length of your truck bed in the thumbnail?

    What length paddle are you using? Does the seat have a high and low position?

    • @flbasspaddler
      @flbasspaddler  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the questions. As far as my paddle, I am using a 260CM, but that is because I used this boat in many South Florida Canals and needed the length to push off of seawalls, rocky ledges, etc. As far as the seat, this is a one-position seat that sits on the deck of the canoe.
