    I have the 65”. It’s a great all in one solution, especially for Dolby Atmos and Vision. Affordable options for finance. I tweaked up some of the settings as personal viewing preference. Buggy on release… indeed, frustrating at times… indeed. That’s what comes with early adopters. OLED is better, full surround is better, but for most people this would be a more than acceptable upgrade from a non 4k setup and a cheap sound bar. I’ve got rid of the Bravia 43” will the 5.1 speaker set up and this is more than suitable as an upgrade.

    I have had my sky glass tv for over an year now and i can honestly say its been a really good tv. ok so the picture might not be as good as most but with a bit of fine tuning in the settings you can get a decent picture. The layout from sky is amazing far better than skyq and the speakers are good as well.

    Vincent, me and my friend purchased together two LG 65 G1 here in the U.S. We are noticing an issue that’s been known in the U.K. with LG C1’s and G1’s TV not recognizing HDCP 2.2 and instead displaying HDCP 1.4 on all four HDMI ports on the TV. I’m unable to play any 4K movie disk properly on my Oppo 203 player. Tried calling LG and they are not familiar with this issue here. Not sure what to do, just have one week with the TV and not a fan of a technician opening up the TV already. I love the TV’s performance so far except my oppo 203 is now completely inoperable displaying 4K and in some disk no picture at all. As of now, My Apple 4K TV seems to be streaming & displaying all 4k HDR content perfect despite it still displaying HDCP 1.4 and not HDCP 2.2.
    Do you know if there will be any software update addressing this problem here in the U.S. soon? I believe this is a software problem and not a hardware issue.
    Thank You for your feedback and support in this matter!

    • @Vibration_Crew
      @Vibration_Crew 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Try resetting the hdmi ports by pulling out all hdmi cables and turning off the tv and pulling out the power lead for 30 secs +. I had a problem with the hdmi ports on an LG panel and that was the only way to cure it.
      Sometimes the handshake between connected devices over hdmi can screw up and unplugging all hdmi devices from the tv and pulling the power seemed to fix the hdmi ports. Worth a try at least. Hope you get it sorted.

    • @wolfmanjack530
      @wolfmanjack530 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Vibration_Crew Thank You for the recommendations however after trying these steps I’m still having the 1.4 HDCP displayed and not 2.2 HDCP. I’m still unable to use my oppo 203, not displaying 4K reverts to 1080p and some 4K disk I get no picture at all.
      This is seriously depressing, TV cost me $2,700, it’s literally two weeks old now at my home and can’t use my oppo 203 player at all. It displays HDCP 1.4 no matter what device I’m watching on even on my Apple 4K streaming box. I get No HDCP 2.2 at all on all 4 ports. Called LG here in the U.S. and they have NO CLUE about this issue even though I mentioned to them it’s quite known in the UK 🇬🇧, the LG representative said they have no knowledge of what’s happening in the UK 🇬🇧. What they want to do and send a technician to my home and open up my TV already which I refuse to because I know it’s a software problem and not a hardware issue.
      Not sure what to do, I’m waiting for a software update but what concerns me is that LG here in the U.S. have no knowledge of this problem so not sure how long I will wait for an update addressing this particular HDCP problem if ever.

    I don't know why anybody would want to buy a mediocre TV that's intrinsically tied into a single subscription service... What's the advantage?! This should just be a "Sky" app for existing smart TVs.
    Apart from anything, TV has moved on from Sky's business model of charging a subscription fee AND showing intrusive advertisements.

    • @profitfever
      @profitfever 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Whoever at sky came up with this idea is thick. The tv market is highly competitive. The picture quality is worse than all major tv brands. The sky service on the tv cant record. Most customers in the UK want to get away from Sky not towards it. Laughable way of trying to make a profit.

      I think this will turn into an app. Once sky get these out into the market, and their customers migrate away from the dish/box combo they'll ditch that legacy hardware altogether and then put out apps to smart TV's and consoles etc to pick up customers who'd maybe pay for a modern sky streaming service but don't want the subscription hardware model.

    If any of the negative comments actually researched the tv, it’s basically a Philips tv with a Dolby atmos sound bar built in, I have Lg and Samsung oleds in my house and the picture is the same, a tv can only play what the signal is being sent to it , does not matter what the tv can do, upscaling is never good. And the people with a tv, sound bar, 9 speakers around the room, and sky q HDR you are missing the point, you don’t have a Dolby atmos signal being sent to you by sky, I will say I had a sound bar and this is much better LG sound bar 5.1 system, the good thing is my plug socket no longer looks like a fire hazard waiting to happen , all the negatives are probably from people that could not get the TV

      @@jimbowen7092 but surely you'd have to have it on that specific channel for 12-16 hours a day on only that channel with-out turning it off every 4-6hours for a automwtci compensation cycle? There's too many safeguards in place for this to happen under regular viewing! OLED wasn't made to watch just one channel it was made to be varied like 4-6hours gaming then a few normal TV or vice versa! Also doesn't help if it's on anything higher than standard! I've got at least 50+ people in my life who have OLED and not a single one with burn-in... some of these people watch nothing but channels with high brightness logos and none have had an issue! Not saying that you're lying but burn-in at this point is more of a consumer error, rather then a technical error! OLED is classed as a cinema screen for a reason, to play varied content but Even with the same channel 24/7 it would take too much abuse to get burn-in with regular use! Sorry to hear about your issues but they're just that "your issues" you're like what we OLED enthusiasts like to call the 1%ers. The ones that think they can just treat an OLED like a regular TV heck even the manual says you shouldn't have it on static images without running a auto compensation cycle or without having screen shift turned on. Logo luminance turned on etc etc.

    So pretty good in general but no good for gaming 😕 😔

      Nah it's trash for gaming! Input lag is off the chart for a 4K TV! Had so much potential tbh.

    Hey Vincent! I made a video showcasing my X900H VRR 120hz working: th-cam.com/video/DtJSSYnUioo/w-d-xo.html
    Also I recorded in 240fps then set the speed of the clip to 25%
    This means that it's Sony's fault for releasing the wrong firmware for UK.

    This isn't a videophile's TV by any stretch of the imagination - however it may suit absolutely anyone who isn't. Maybe yer granny or something.

    It’s a 90s looking lump, and a waste of money, also a ripoff of NOW tv, no hard drive just catch up tv , pay to fast forward adverts after a year , £5 a month , my 4K Sony tv and sky Q ultra hd , sky sound box is 100 times better ,I guarantee, these lumps will flood eBay in a years time ,for a £100, in fact, there are a few of these bricks on now , half price ,as used item , good luck to all those mugs, who were panic buying !
