EASY Free Loom Knit Hat (With Brim!) Pattern & Tutorial

- Learn how to make this super easy ribbed loom knit beanie hat (even if you're a beginner) in this step by step tutorial and free pattern!
This hat is a nice, fitted hat with a folded brim and it's super warm. I used two strands of worsted weight yarn, but you could also use one strand of bulky yarn. It's up to you!

SUPPLIES YOU'LL NEED //
▶︎ large gauge 48 peg round knitting loom: amzn.to/3PMq1Tt
▶︎ loom hook (should come with your looms)
▶︎ 2 skeins of worsted weight yarn (I used I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby, but this stuff works great as well): amzn.to/48oZ1kb
▶︎ stitch markers (several): amzn.to/3Zo9RTL
▶︎ scissors
▶︎ yarn needle or tapestry needle: amzn.to/48lfOol
▶︎ tape measure
▶︎ paper and pencil to mark down rows

I’ve made 2 hats with this pattern. Both with bulky yarn. Going to use two strands of worsted for the third hat or maybe more. They work up really quick on the 48 peg loom. Thank you for making your video it’s much appreciated

Is there a benefit to using two pieces of yarn versus a thicker one? I made this hat for my daughter’s softball teammates and they all loved it! It really is a super cozy style.
I would say it's probably more cost effective
I just wanted to demonstrate using 2 strands of worsted weight since my other loom knit beanies are made with thicker yarn- it really doesn't matter! Wow you made enough for the whole team- that's awesome!! 😊 Thanks for stopping by!
Yea sometimes you can find worsted weight yarn for cheaper for sure
@@YarnStash Yes, I made 12 total in about 5 weeks while I was recovering from surgery. I learned how to loom knit by watching your videos and this was the first style I tried. It’s a huge hit with friends and family, we all love it!
I marked my pegs with a metallic sharpie. Doesn't smear.
If it was to be for a baby would I need to use the smallest loom I have for a baby hat for this pattern or how can I make this pattern for a baby hat

Yes that would work fine, just use one strand instead of two 😊

Why aren’t we folding the brim and stitching it so it doesn’t come apart like in the tutorial where you made the blue/green hat? :(
