    this is the best chorus pedal I've ever had

    Thank you for this informative demo! Harmony mode is awful, it was all I wanted to know.

    • @marioesquivel883
      @marioesquivel883 6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Im actually going to buy it JUST for the harmonist because you CAN get some good tones out of it, im using it to make the royal-blood-style-only-bass technique, to make a power chord replication, and it does sound good for THAT

    • @deadbeatangels4799
      @deadbeatangels4799 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I have 2. The harmony is NOT awful. It actually tracks really well, but you need to feed it to 2 amps. It's also better if you play the higher part and use the pedal to detune the other bit.

    • @deadbeatangels4799
      @deadbeatangels4799 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is not great for straight pitch shifting - I have an EHX pitchfork for that

    • @megafang
      @megafang 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      The player is also not really performing in a way that's helpful. It wants to hear one pitch and it's being fed a lot of chords and sustained notes in this demo. It also wants to cling to a defined scale that the player is not adhering to. Needs some stiff monophonic solos on key.

    Thank you again, Mr. Psychic! I was just thinking of getting this very pedal and sitting/laughing through bad demos by people like the guy at World Music Supply who "sounds like Kermit, looks like Satan". You should watch that video and read the comments fire a good laugh.

      I heard Boss sent them bullets in the mail with intervals carved into the jackets. As the intervals approached 2 octaves up the accompanying note read "1 oct^up and the development team get pitch forks shifted up the Whammy. 2 oct^up and all of you get the flutter bullet"

    Do you think this is a good pedal? would you recommend buying an expression pedal for it rather than using the built in one? I'm new to pedals and this is the first one I've bought. It's coming on Friday. thanks :)

  • @BillyQvarnstrom
    @BillyQvarnstrom 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Very cool pedal and nice review! Just a quick question (sorry if it was covered in the video and I missed it) - can I shift just a single semitone up or down with this pedal or is it locked at the more harmonic intervals? Thanks in advance!

    • @RyanLutton
      @RyanLutton  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The Harmonist part of the pedal is locked into more harmonic stuff.. The pitch shifting setting can do these intervals (-24,-12,-7,-5,-2,-1,+3,+4,+5,+7,+12,+24)
      The Trem Bar and Flutter settings can both do -1 and +1 but they aren't doing standard pitch shifting :) hope this helps!

    Hey guys. I'm thinking about buying a octaver pedal, but i came across this one. Does it work like an octaver as well? could it replace a simple octaver pedal (like the behringer SO400)?

    Hi Ryan! I was wondering if I can use dunlop cry baby gcb95 as an expression pedal with this pedal for pitch shifting, like the pitch shifting that can be done by a digitech whammy pedal. I hope you can understand what I am trying to say.

  • @javierornelas
    @javierornelas 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi! i am thinking on buy this pedal for the trem bar but i only can see the numbers +-2, +-3, +-6 but i see that i can detune with a max of 2 octaves, what number in there is the octave? or how can i know what amount i am using? because i get confused xD (sorry for my bad english)

    • @RyanLutton
      @RyanLutton  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      no problem! It is the most confusing pedal I've demoed haha basically the pitch knob controls differently in each setting (trem bar, harmonist, detune.. etc.) so they couldn't write what it does around the knob.. these are its parameters... pitch shifter: -24/+24 (2 octaves)... harmonist: -24/+24... detune: -30c/+30c... trem bar: -12/+12(1 octave)... flutter -12/+12.. you can find more detail in the manual I've linked below to learn what the pedal is actually doing on each section
      www.manualslib.com/manual/214444/Behringer-Us600.html
      hope this helps!

    • @blackf9068
      @blackf9068 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, there is, or was, I'm not sure. The pedal that you are looking for is the Behringer Ultra Distortion UD100 or UD300. But, get one today could be a bit hard, Behringer has limited his pedal production of many of his pedals. Now they have few models availble, and many of their old pedals, are now produced by Tc-electronic, or simplely discontinued. I'm afraid that you maybe should look UD100/UD300 used, because it there is no more in Behringer catalog. I have a like issue just now, I want get the vintage series (the Behringer metal case pedals), but some of those pedals were discontinued some years ago and get one is very hard.

      Hate to be the "actually" guy, but actually, if you don't crank the settings up & keep the mix subtle you can get some great things going on with this pedal.
