The guy who was brought in was horrified when he realized what was going on, but Tina just worked out two bass parts per song with him instead of making an issue out of it and the tour proceeded. Byrne was always super weird about Tina from the start. Was honestly a jerk about it a lot.

She does have a great voice which you can hear on the Tom Tom Club’s records, but I’m pretty sure the voice you’re hearing that’s loud in the mix is Dolette McDonald
