    Thank you so much! I love using odd count peyote stitch but the usual method is contrived and time consuming. This brilliant idea makes it easy and enjoyable. Thanks for sharing!

    I have been struggling with the odd count peyote turn for so long. I just discovered your tutorial. What a easy way to make the turn. Thank you so much. I will tell my beading friend about your tutorial.

    Thank you for making that easy to follow and for carrying on and doing so many rows. I had just got the hang of it when you finished. Now I need to find a odd count peyote pattern/tutorial to make something!

    Ugh she makes it look so easy. I can’t even get past the second row, where you start going through the beads. They just all line up beside each other 🙇🏻‍♀️

    • @terriclary95
      @terriclary95 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Look for the even count peyote video by aura crystals. She gives a good example of how to get your rows started (this applies to odd count too)This video just shows how to do the turns for odd count. The first two rows a tough. You have to coax the beads to sit on top of each other and you must keep the tension tight. After the first few rows it gets much easier!

      Be gentle with yourself! There is no rush, we all learn at our own pace! I did it 4 million times before I realized I was trying way too hard, I just went for it and I haven’t stopped learning new stitches New ways to bead and now I design my own stuff! Just remember, Be Gentle With Yourself, you got this!

    I think it's the best way for odd count peyote. I call it brickstitch in peyote ;) I tried different methods, but this one gives the best look of last, odd row. It lies exacly like peyote should. With other methods last row always laid like brickstitch - one over another in rows not zigzag, if you know what I mean. Thanks for the thorough presentation :D

    But the last bead that needs special care ends up causing that side's beads to be a tiny bit higher, which really shows up in a border design that isn't just a row of one color but has part of the pattern right next to it. Or is it because I'm doing the ladder stitch to add the last odd-side bead? It ends up being 3/4 of a bead height higher. I wish we could put pictures in comments! I think I will give up the last bead in a ladder stitch method, and try yours, where the thread is looped around the end thread. Thank you for this video!

    Could you please do this using more than one color? I'm having big problems with a pattern I just purchased from an etsybseller. She is such a sweetheart and I've bothered her so much I don't want to bother her again. But the pattern just isn't working out right.

    What makes you choose between odd or even number, is it solely how wide you want the piece to be?

    • @silver6891
      @silver6891 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Odd count is used if you are working on a pattern that needs a center point. (Like an arrow) you'll need an odd number of beads in the row in order to work the pattern the same on each side of the "center" bead. 😊

    Hi.watched your tutorials about herringbone stitch with seed bead.iam still tryin to master it.thank you.actually I got one seed bead necklace which I wanted to make it into a long one.this is not done with hearing one spiral stitch,but perfectly spirals on its own.its actually a 5 stranded necklace on plastic wire.you can open and see the different strands.the moment you free them in your hands it spirals.do you know how it is done? Pls help me if you know.i searched so much on internet.but no solution.i found you in this search only.your videos are easy to understand and iam trying to master it.iam 68 years old and I used to do all kinds of crafts.now it's little difficult with age.it will be easy for me if i can do it in the other method I mentioned.i wanted to send a photo of it.nbut here comments only I can send.hoping to get a reply thank you.
