Hell I just got a refurbished one in 2024 to backup my S22 which is showing signs of potential issues. Note 9 is still very much a stout device and beautiful too. I imported the Metallic copper one because I thought it was unique.
It also has some things on it I find quite useful that newer devices no longer have.
    Got mine for $218

I bought my Note9 (ocean blue) a couple months ago and I LOVE it. It is absolutely the best piece of technology I have ever owned. I cannot fathom why anyone would want to spend a grand or more for a newer phone with those obnoxious camera cutouts or notches when you can have the fabulous Note9 unlocked and factory renewed for under 200. From the gorgeous display to the SD card support, headphone jack and Bluetooth SPen and fantastic battery, this phone is in my opinion simply cannot be beaten. Thanks for letting us know about the screen burn issue being pretty solved with the 9. My Note8 has very bad burn-in. I can see the red icon bar at the top that looks like a GPS app from the previous owner.

This is still a great phone. Sad when hardware outlived the software. Some of my students are still using the iPhone 6,7,and 8. Not everyone can afford payments to a carrier for a new phone. BackMarket is selling ng out of these older phones because they are still affordable and viable refurbished.

I wanted this bad in 2018 but chose the 8 to save money. I don’t regret it, but since this phone is my dream still, I think it’s gonna be nice, even though I’m using an promotion iPhone

Thanks for the review. People these days are too spoiled, or maybe I should be blunt and just say stupid. Stupid because they've been programmed to run out and get the latest phone as soon as it comes out even though their phones are still good and new and even though the newer phones really have nothing good to offer over their predecessors. I just bought a Note 9 and the only reason why I bought one was because my Note 4 started having screen problems, otherwise I wouldn't have upgraded. To me, a phone is just a phone and nothing else. Yeah it's nice to have a phone with a nice camera as someone who likes to take photos but I wouldn't buy a whole new phone just to get the latest cameras and most certainly wouldn't buy one every year like many of today's spoiled generation do. Looking at the Note 9, I think it's a pretty damn good modern phone that will serve me for the next 5 years. I don't care about banks or anything else requiring that I have the latest Android. I never use my phone to do any finances anyway. I will never use a phone to pay for anything either. This is only going to let them force CBDCs on us. So yeah, the N9 is more than I could ask for. Sorry, phone manufacturers. You ain't getting a dime from me. Maybe when you make a phone that can cook and wash clothes.....Or maybe when they make phones with DSLR quality cameras but even then I will only buy one once it's a few years old at least.

Lol this is also my second note (my first note was also the note 4 edge), and its still going strong after almost 6 years of pretty heavy use. Only the battery need changing and the screen have the greem tint issues

    • @Samuel-y1b9h

@@GembulGaming31 I still have both of my Note 4s even though they're both not working but the first one is still like brand new. I'm going to use its screen for the other Note 4 with the broken screen even though I know it too probably has a dying motherboard but I'll keep it for as long as it has life in it. Lucky u yours is still working. I don't know why mine stopped even though I took really good care of it and hardly used it much. Meanwhile, I'll be using my Note 9 for as long as it continues to work.

I am still using my Note 9 and it still good! Expandable storage + Headphone jack.
For camera use, I have been using the sirui camera lens for a few years now and they do a excellent job with camera lens for smartphones. I have a 18mm lens which I use for my wide angle shots and I use their 60mm lens for close ups. It's a pretty good alternative, you don't have to upgrade you phone if you are concerned about the camera. Not to mention the picture quality is better then the newer phones anyway.

Samsung readded write on calender which was an exclusive feature of the Note 10 series with Android 10 after axing it on the Note 5 to appease tech bloggers who moaned about Touchwiz being bloated and laggy. So it was gone for 5 or 6 years.

Have my note 9 since 2018, I have a little screen burn in at the bottom where Home Recent and Back buttons are, but it is only noticeable if I turn off that screen buttons, the battery still holds great, just looked my last week Screen on time: 7 h 21 m (when not plugged in), so average is about 6 hours. Still a very great phone 5-6 years later!

bought a black n9600 recently, and shockingly it’s on 8.1.0 (didn’t update it), and it’s still good today. sure the rear camera is a bit fried, it might be a bit cracked, battery might be a bit weak, but the headphone jack, sd card, and even the iris scanner makes it all worth it. i use it alongside with my s23 ultra, makes a great media phone as i can use my kbears with it, replacing an s10 5g

  • @PatrickDKing
    @PatrickDKing 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I'm still using mine. Got one from Samsung direct as a recertified new for under $400 a few years back. It's black with 128gb, 6gig ram. I really wanted a blue one with yellow pen or a 512 gb one but the price premium was too stupid to pay for at the time.
Lately the battery started running out of a full charge in under three hours so I was going to pay the 100 bucks to get the battery replaced even though the battery health was labeled as good. But then I did some research and went into settings and put every app and process I could into "sleep" and "deep sleep" states and now my battery is back to normal. I guess too many malicious apps that overstepped their authority were running services in the background even if I hadn't opened them for months. This is where google needs to stop being a little bitch and start forcing Operating System control over apps and app developers. It's rather ridiculous what app developers are able to get away with from what I've seen over the years. The user/admin should always be able to use the OS as a tool to command the other bits of software, not the other way around.
edit: can't type worth a damn.

STILL my work phone to this day. 128GB/Blue. Though it's days are likely numbered. Just ordered a OP12. There's no replacing the SPen & DEX, but it's tough to beat the OP12 deal. I highly wish the Note9 was still getting security updates atleast. It would still be a good phone for another couple years. One of Samsungs best IMO. Note9, Note10+ were fantastic.

I've got some screen burn in on my Ocean Blue 512GB Note 9 w/8GB of RAM which is my daily driver and it's a Verizon Note 9, was on Android 8.1 but I updated cause I don't custom rom my phone and most custom roms don't have VoLTE which is a must for my network now and the camera buzzing issue which was a common issue on these Note phones, but android 9 September 2019 update fixed that issue, and just seemed a bit outdated for me to use plus I have a Samsung Active2 Smartwatch I use daily as well

Send this whole video to SAMSUNG! Yeah Samsung, this one. Could have made some updates. Some. It would be fair to fully support this one until Samsung gets the headphone jack and microSD card slot back on a phone like the S23 Ultra. These two are necessary, not optional. I mean yeah Note 9 has an 8gb RAM 512gb model. As you say, the hardware is still good.

I offered a s22 ultra I rebuild nope while clinging on to her note 9 and charging cord lol the battery life is what is the bummer as I type this on my old lg v40 with charging cord connected.:) as I still see the battery just slowly drain away.
