I was lucky enough to attend a concert in New Zealand where he played with Jan Hammer and a famous drummer whose name eludes me (ouch!). It was a fusion delight and featured his famous glissando - unforgettable.
Anyone else find it odd that Jeff was rolling along ok...then goes on tour with that kidsick hollyweird vamp poseur Johnny Depp and suddenly turns up dead? Jeff was a checkerboard lodge sacrifice.

When I was just a kid, I wanted to be like Jeff. He was one of the coolest dudes in the world.
