So happy you posted about the k20a3 again. Being a 2 time EP3 si owner ive been trying to figure out how to pull more power without sacrificing the reliability of the car. Not alot of boosted A3s so N/A id stay before i change compression or do more bolt ons.
Exhaust you have to have a 3 in exhaust and iether full length header or a shorty that dumps to 3 in if hes using a ebay 2.37 cat back and cat that would be the reason why
Definitely don’t see how’s theirs any confusion or how you can say I didn’t clarify when the NAME of the videos is a3 performance cams vs type s cams ....cams... Camshaft

This build lead to me making the video about performance A3 cams vs stock A2 (true vtec) cams. That’s why I didn’t get how it was unclear. But I will also say that I did say he used performance a3 cams and if he upgraded to vtec killer he would make gains. But indie tend to speak to fast sometimes so I gotcha
Hey man, I find your videos very informative. I agree that the a3 is a great engine, the first ep3 I owned new back in 2004 with Cai, shorty header, catback exhaust, heatshield gasket, hyper voltage and ground kits, tuned with an e-manage blue made 178 hp and 156 tq at the wheels and the vacuum still needed to be tuned. I have an engine build for my current ep3 that I'm hoping to have done by this summer. It's an a2 bottom end with a crv head, a2 intake rockers converted to work in the 2 lobe head and a2 cams. I'm hoping for 200 hp
just droped a k20a3 block with just a2 pistons and an a2 oil pump with a2 head in to a ek this combo with a type r flywheel is sick motors super responsive possible from the lighter rotating assembly also pushing rpm to limit 8700rpm we shall see what it makes on dyno with skunk2 pro mani and 550cc injecters

@@VHBEngines stupid typo,ment to say 300.all got 190hp at the wheels with tegiwa 4-2-1 manifold invidia q300 and a j35 throttle body and tegiewa cold air intake,got my grams 550cc injectors on the way and lining up an rrc intake and throwing away the tegiwa air box and replacing it with the hybrid racing cold air.should give me 200 at the wheels.but i want 300 at the wheels in a 2lt,not 2.2 or 2.4 i want a 2lt no one can drink lol.
I would not use the stock a3 crank and rods if I was going to rev it to 8 they just seem to weak. If the bottom end has a2 crank pistons and rods then you should be good to 8500 with a type s pump the head is holding that engine back I have seen stock a3 block with a2 head completely stock make more power than that.
VHB Engines that is why I said I’ve seen stock blocks with just a2 head make more Because I expected the a2 pistons and rods and crank to atleast make 200 even with the stock a3 head because of compression but what I was simply saying is for all that work and to only get 192 is shitty
Full Bolt Ons isn’t vague. It’s every bolt on that can be added. The quality of those bolt ins is a different thing. This is also why the thumbnail is a pic of the bay. You get an idea of the kind of money spent from what you can easily see

Are you referring to after market A3 cams or aftermarket 3 lobe setup? You didn't clarify in your video

All that is doin is Vtec killer lite. You will never have the same performance in a base model head.
My compression in the k24 with npr pistons, would be 13:5:1.

If your goin the vtec killer route yes. But that statement is also relative to what you consider power also
