@@purplebean8989 I mean he couldn't express his feelings towards his mortality so it couldn't really be suicide unless he explicitly said something or did it himself.
So what i gathered from this clip is that the family unplugged the patient, to the surprise of his doctor. I'm not a doctor or a lawyer, but I'm pretty sure that's illegal.
Correct. If you want the patient taken off life support, you need to give authorisation to the doctor. Just going in there yourself and pulling the plug is classified as murder

Letting someone die, such as taking them off life support, is WAY different from undoing it yourself without telling doctors, and then suffocating them by blocking the trachea opening. By putting her hands on the patient, it went from death by natural causes, to murder. Which I find ridiculous to do, since the patient looks like they would've passed quickly after being taken off the life support.
In real life, the ecg and the ventilator monitors would have started beeping furiously, the moment they had been disconnected. So someone would have noticed, but they didn't show that
He was already dead though, the ventilator was the only thing keeping him alive. therefore the ICU monitors would have had alarms disabled. But yeah, if the ventilator tubes were unplugged, the ventilator alarm would've sounded, unless they silenced the alarms because he was already dead I guess.
This was murder, Will's Patient wanted to go, and Will respected his decision, but these parents clearly killed him when he could've had a life, this is murder. He didn't say he wanted this

In my country, we have medical assistance to die. It's not as bad as what is shown in the series but... it makes you realize there may be a point where there's nothing left do do medically, no quality of life left and only suffering forward for the patient. To end it on our own terms (the patient's terms, I mean) is sometimes the best thing ever when it comes to death. Weeks long tubed up in a bed? Shitting and bleeding and panting and crying? Going back and forth to the ER and home on a regular basis? Nothing of that. My father went through medical assistance on last april 20th. How did he go? With his son, his wife, his dog by his side, home, after a glass of scotch, with no unsaid and unanswered, with no pain at all. Sleep and deliverance.

There are legal document that can be signed ahead of time for the doc to unplug the machines. The patient and family have agreed to that method.
