I didn't know Makita made a dual battery version of the leaf blower until I saw your video.

now you need that makita 36v battery mower w/the bag to mulch and vaccum all those leaves up. I have one and thats the main purpose i use that for and it works fantastic

I've got a WORX one that a customer gave me a few years ago. Just put a new blade on it and got a fresh set of batteries last summer cause it couldn't get through my whole yar anymore. I considered switching to makita but it was way cheaper to just get new batteries and a blade. But now that it's all freshy fresh maybe i'll sell it and get the makita!!!!!!!!

@@BorsellinoHomeServices the only thing is the makita 36v mower is a little underpowered to mow high grass, but it’s perfect for picking up leaves. The worx one sounds good too.

    Meh... 😑
That was for the blower. Your review was very informative and helpful. Thank you for that. Almost purchased one a while back, even though I am using a completely different set of tools. Very impressed with the power and the balance of the machine but I will tell you this, from experience & from factual common published resources. Running two batteries that have not been married to each other will bring each battery down to the lowest one's level, and quickly!!! You've been warned. That makes the practicality of this machine mediocre at best. You would have purchase & pair up two more batteries and only use those pairs of batteries on machines that use two batteries. The reason your review was so helpful is because the two batteries you received with the unit only lasted 16 minutes, so unless you buy another pair you are SOL... also, I doubt the other two will charge in 16 minutes. If you've been using your other batteries on that machine, you are either realizing that all your batteries are only as good as your worst one, or you're going to find out! I cannot begin to describe how quickly this will destroy your batteries! I hope this was helpful. It's a great blower if you're willing to use the necessary steps and spend the money to do so, but keep these things in mind. I feel like there are way more practical solutions out there. Cheers, and be well!!!

Wow I've never heard anything like that before! Good to know! I have another makita tool that came with dual batteries and they are all marked with sharpie which ones came together and I always use the pair together but it was never for this reason. Now I'm going to have to do some research on this! Thank you!

I like the Makita XBU04ZV unit, it allows one to mulch and collect the leaves instead of losing them to the wind and the kit costs more than that one but to me it is worth that cost to not chase leaves.

May I suggest a corded version? Generally speaking, its a very minor inconvenience but you don't have to deal with batteries and you have a higher output.

I have the ego blower and it doesn't last long either. I have a 3rd of an acre, and 1 main tree out front and I still have to rake. I like battery powered yard tools, but they're not good enough to do blowing.

yeah my entire property is .17 acre including my house and driveway so my yard is probabaly .1 acre max

Are those extensions added to the blower? The one I looked at didn’t have a nozzle that long

Just the ones that came with it. I did an unboxing video that shows how you extend them th-cam.com/video/_EEhKSFzfLI/w-d-xo.html

I just ordered this blower and now I find this video. This thing looks severely under-powered. I think I will have to return it. 473 CFM on this compared to 600 CFM on my Stihl BR 600. You would think it would be slightly less powerful. This thing looks more like a 50 CFM machine

yeah it's nowhere near as powerful as a gas machine. But for me, I hate gas machines cause they need maintenance and never work when i need them! this thing fires up every time with a push of a button.

I ended up returning the Makita and getting the Ego Power+ 765 CFM Blower. The Ego is a viable replacement for my gas machine. It blows the socks off of the Makita@@BorsellinoHomeServices

@joshuajenkins1937 so I just got the ego 765 my dad has the makita. I'm not sure there is a major difference from what I remember. I'm almost wondering if the Makita was more powerful? Since you've had both what's your take?

Blowing leaves on a windy day - not good for short tempers! LOL

Thats ALOT of friggin leaves. They look a little damp. If it was me, I'd just rake first pile, that 1-2 foot deep pile and then bag it.

yeah I was just testing out the blower for the video and seeing how much it could handle and how long the batteries lasted
