      @brandondaniels9471 5 ปีที่แล้ว +37

      I don't think he's trying to fool anyone. I just think he's just trying to keep the media heat off of his players (e.g., unlike teams like Pittsburgh where they've had very talented teams but it's a complete media circus). So, Belichick would rather have all media hate/attention directed towards himself so that his players really don't have to deal with much of it... and they can just focus on doing their job w/o many distractions. It's excellent off of the field gamesmanship.

If he was as boring as the media sees then guys wouldn’t stick around but players love his dry humor to go with his no-bullshit, no nonsense, do your job kind of approach/attitude. I would’ve died to played for a BB or Savanna for any sport. My coach that was closest to them took us to state 3 years in a row, my other sport coaches were replaceable bc winning wasn’t their priority - it showed

Red Auerbach used to come into the locker room after a loss and say "Guys that was on me, I did a terrible job." even if it wasnt true just to take the edge off. Every coach who responded to it stated it wouldn't have mattered as they switch play calls every week or even during the game. That was the first game of the season. From that point on the Pats went what? 22-0. You are angry. We understand. Who ever your team is has been crushed by the greatest coach in the game over and over. They always will be. people have the same misconception about Red Auerbach back in the day. They see film of him stomping and shouting so they compare him to Vince Lombardi who treated his players like dirt. The reality is the opposite. Auerbach never yelled at his own guys and he treated his players like men. The results speak for themselves. As a Giants fan I'm glad he was with us for awhile and he always speaks fondly of those years and the organization. I think his talent is knowing how to coach and get the most out of each individual player he coaches. He doesn't coach every guy the same. He has his standards obviously but he doesn't expect players to be something they're not. He finds out what a player is particularly good at and has them do more of it. Everyone enjoys doing what they're great or good at. Then probably strengthens there weaknesses over time. Managers and bosses would be wise to study this man. My humble opinion.

Not only does he know the game inside and out but his ability to lead his staff and players to the commitment of excellence is jaw-dropping! I am a Dallas fan and have to endure the misery of watching an organization screw it up year after year since Jones ran off Jimmy Johnson! Belichick and Johnson are very close friends and you wonder how he was able to get to and win Superbowls? 23 years since Dallas has been to a Super Bowl but the Patriots threaten every single year! Anyone who says 'no' obviously doesn't know anything about football or player/coach talents and skills. Those two have been the best at their jobs for the last decade and a half. Even Bob Kraft is top 3 for best owner. This organization is amazing from top to bottom.

  • @superfreak_music

    What's truly even more amazing than how legendary of a head coach Belichick is, is the fact that he's also the de facto GM as well. Lump that all with the fact that several of his defensive coordinators were mere signal callers, just surreally shows the vast amount of responsibility he undertakes with this organization, along with near total power and control he has over it's operation.
    Just crazy. But they say most geniuses are.

      Belichick is talking about being on your own goal line, not the opposing teams'. He's explaining that if the offense is backed up on their own goal line, it makes sense for them to go to the hard count to try to get the Defense to jump offsides because they have nothing to lose (they can only be penalized inches). This is obviously the opposite of what happened in the Seahawks SB.

All 32 teams are on an even playing field believe that. Success breeds envy especially in the salary cap era where parity is not suppose to exsist Coach Belichek mastered it and form the only dynasty and team to repeat this millennium and the Salary cap and this will be the final dynasty that will end at two decades! Parity will come into play and as time passes and a decade goes by of all different champions that will be the parity the NFL longed for by installing the cap but the Genius and #Goat figured that code out and spoiled there plans and the league and owners resent them for that and that's why we have had to deal with the bs.
