Jekyll island was the island were the federal resserve was created secretly , in 1913, i'm following you in this journey....and the whole trip 😍, greetings from Belgium Whit love
Oh, Lea on a awful day for us here in the UK with the passing of our beautiful Queen, I was able to lose myself for 35 minutes in your stunning video, your drone footage is simply the best I've ever seen. So, thank you...
I enjoy your travels, but I also enjoy your words. Your first question, something about travelling thinking on the destination or on the journey maybe seems a simple question, but it isn't. This summer we didn't have a "big journey" to make with our little motorhome in terms of kilometers, but we decided to travel without destination, just enjoying the road, the villages and the people. Only 1400 km in 24 days, or "slow holidays" as we called them, and we really loved them! See you next thursday!
That’s awesome! I have to admit that I am guilty of Always packing too much and too many kilometers in my travels (without knowing though where I go exactly) - but for this USA trip I for example thought that I would make it Canada and Newfoundland too. I didn’t though and was a bit disappointed in the beginning when I realized that I would not make it - but then as well really realized that there is no reason to be, because this journey was not about making it to Newfoundland, but about the journey on the east coast!
I just returned from doing some riding in North Carolina. What fantastic roads for motorcycling. I laughed at the bug bites. It appears you fell victim to black flies. You do not feel them bite and they go for the hairline. Kind regards from.🇨🇦
Exactly those, will talk about the nasty black flies when I publish the video. It was really crazy, I had as well 50 bites over all my scalp in my hairs 😂😅
@@Got2Go Check out the National Film Board of Canada humourous animated short film about "The Little Black Fly of North Ontario. The Black Flies are synonymous with the North Woods here in Canada.

🎼"Almost Heaven; West Virginia, Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River..."🎶 You've got me back! I've lost you a bit on your Oman-Tour, it was amazing, but just for the eyes and not so much for my heart. This kind of landscape you're riding now and the living around, is what opens my heart and touches my soul - a kind of mixture from yearning and feeling home. Thank you so much, hope you have (had) also good vibrations on this trip. I am very excited to see what's going on. All the best to you😊

Yes, it’s absolutely crazy. And as well how booked everything was at my time of traveling was crazy too, it was really so busy everywhere and I often had to drive for hours to find something
@@Got2Go I don't see the end of high hotel rates in the US for a while, and as you said, the hotels are full. We reserved a room in Charlottesville Virginia in July, and when we stood at the door, I heard voices inside. The hotel gave it to someone in spite of our booking.
Good to see you again. Pity about the rain but that is good for th beautiful scenery. Careful with all the donuts, ice creams an lobster rolls! It was wonderful to see a DKW. Looking forward to more.
If you're ever in Nj, the Pine Barrens is a great place to take that Tenere 700. There's plenty of two lane sand/dirt roads and too many single tracks to count. The sand gets very loose in some parts. 60/40 tires should be okay.
Great content, wish I had the time you have to ride; I go once a year for 10 days, I work hard and when I retire, I will spend more time on the road. Until then I can view your adventures. Thank you, for sharing. The blue ridge parkway is a must ride. I always ride solo. Be safe and get after it.
Extraordinarily fine experience, watching this splendid documentary of your East Coast trip and thank you for sharing it. It's odd, I most often watch vlogs about the Alps, or the Balkans, or Bavaria, or the Mediterranean etc., and wonder how great it would be to visit all of those places. But seeing my own native country (I live in New England) so admired by you, embodied in this marvelous episode makes me count my blessings, and gives me a renewed appreciation for the land of my birth. Priceless. You have a keen understanding of the human spirit. Cheers.
That is awesome - but I have to admit I am 100 percent same like you! I ride through the alps and Bavaria and am so used to the views and surroundings that it doesn’t feel like something special anymore. But making videos about some of those places actually helped me a lot too to appreciate this beauty much more again - because then I see it from the viewers eyes and not only from my own ones. Indeed we are both very lucky to live at such beautiful places like the East coast of the USA or the alps in Europe! 😍
OCKRACOKE SAVED OUR VACATION JULY 2020!! Ive been there several times and after an awful night on Cape Lookout and a kiddio getting sick.. we found a resturaunt while waiting for the ferry and ate fantastic food/played pool.. then the beautiful ferry ride to Ockracoke and 3 days bumming around the island with the top and doors off the jeep.. its our favorite island of all time!!! thank you for sharing this trip!!!
I have trouble considering Pennsylvania "landlocked since it is on the Delaware River, which empties straight into the Delaware Bay which is a bay of the Atlantic Ocean. Provided it's ocean-worthy you could literally launch from Philly and sail directly to the Atlantic Ocean. It's hard to imagine the trip would take more than an hour.
I rode from Western MA near the border with NY to Acadia to camp a year ago. It really is a beautiful spot and fun to ride the roads of the Island. Also rode to Truro on the outer tip of Cape Cod for some camping. You have sure seen some great spots.

MSYC91? Well it was a great trip. Much of it in my backyard. It's beautiful.. Look forward to follow along and follow my own footsteps through time. A good decision to stay inland and ride the mountains. Spring offers bad weather at different locations. Just have to ride around it. Glad you had a safe trip. Next some travel destinations. New Brunswick up the Bay of Fundy, cross over to PEI, to Nova Scotia and the Cabot Trail. Then ferry over to Newfoundland, travel the Viking Trail make a loop back around toward St. Johns, you can either ferry back to USA of loop back across the St. Lawrence/Atlantic to Labrador and ride the Labrador Road back down to the USA border in west NY state or continue up the St. Lawrence to Toronto, cross Niagara Falls and continue westward in USA or Canada. I suggest US 2 but do the Circle Tour around the north side of the Great Lakes. Stop by Aerostich in Duluth MN, Betty's Pies in Two Harbors, Head of the Mississippi River near Bemidji MN then to the Black Hills in South Dakota. Some great riding in that round.
Is that the number of my license plate? 😂🤯🤯🤯 I know that most of you don’t know that, but I have pretty much ridden all of your suggestions already on my worldtrip. I had hoped to go back especailly to Newfoundland that I loved on this trip, but I was running out of time way too fast unfortunately. So hope to be back there at one point to take you to all the lovely places (and hopefully more!!!) that I have already visited in 2017! @@Got2Go Yes your plate. Wondered what it meant. For sometime on your trip you were only an hour or so away from my home. I have some good back yard and front yard riding. It's gone before you know it. Good fortune in your travels. Be safe and see the world. Sure will enjoy your vids. The season is winding down but getting very beautiful with the changing colors of the leaves. The timing is most everything seems in visiting a place. We do what we can while we can.
As an exchange student some 35 years ago I stayed in North Carolina (went back many times) and also been to the wonderful outer banks and the blue ridge highway...such an underrated state...North Carolina has it all 😍. Thanks.
I am glad you got to ride some of the BlueRidge I thought you would probably like it better than the Tail of the dragon because of the better views. To bad you did not get to ride the MABDR but especially parts of it in West Virginia would be hard to ride if it was wet, most of the rest of it would be OK a little wet. Beautiful trip NC is one of my favorite places to ride, I have not made it to the North Eastern states yet I look forward to seeing your videos from up there
Yes, I heard it’s otherwise when not wet a pretty easy bdr in total - would have really liked to go but the older I get the more careful I get when riding solo 😂🤷🏻♀️ (and to be honest the paved skyline drive was not fun either in rain and cold and without any views - so it would not have mattered much which road I took anyways…)
Came across tour channel love it and subscribe. I love your video presentation and the drone shot was something else. I was trying to go back to your past videos when did You buy your bike year and what make. I'm going to your beginning video and get caught up. Thank safe journey be safe

I was thinking how that float plane at 24:25 looked familiar - I was at that exact spot in front of that hotel 7 years ago! Great journey - I live on the east coast and there is plenty to see. If you ever pass through NC again, you have a place to stay. Ride safe 😎
Unfortunately now when I arrived there the float plane was not there (yet), I found out then that the flying season only starts a bit later because it still can be so cold in may/June!

Awesome Lea! Great drone shots. Charles' collection was fantastic. You made my day. Thanks for this video. 😎🤠👍🏻👍🏻
Yes i can’t wait to show you more of Charles collection and his views of life - was definitly one of my highlights.
Beautiful overview Lea, looking forward to see your adventure!
Thank you so much! Looking forward to the adventure too and happy you are joining the ride!

After watching your video, I also want to follow the path😀
Came across tour channel love it and subscribe. I love your video presentation and the drone shot was something else. I was trying to go back to your past videos when did
You buy your bike year and what make. I'm going to your beginning video and get caught up. Thank safe journey be safe
Welcome to the channel! This motorcycle I bought 2021 in Los Angeles, it’s a Yamaha Tenere 700, I own a bike of the same brand from 2019 in Europe too.
Great, I look forward to the next adventure with you 🙂
Thank you so much - hope you will enjoy the detailed episodes!!
In Cape Cod there is a Portuguese Bakery wow!
