the scenery is breathtaking, the quality is epic, one of the most enjoyed 31 minute I’ve had watch a TH-cam vide . thank you Lea for bringing us along 😍
C u next week. LG Bianca
Wow, this video was motorcycle travel wellness for heart and soul! Special features, the atmosphere, sceneries and details brilliantly filmed and narrated makes it very entertainingly educational too! A beautiful highlight like the whole journey🙏🙏🥰☺️!
I was born in Utica NY. I live up in the Adirondacks now. Ive skied Whiteface mountain many times over the years. You did a great job with this vidio. Glad you ejoyed the Adirondacks come back again sometime.
Ihre Videos Lea sind unheimlich schön! Sie haben meine volle Unterstützung! Lassen Sie sich nicht entmutigen, und streben Sie nach Süden! Und danke! Grüße aus tiny Frankreich !
I loved this episode ! Lake Placid & Whiteface in Winter provided me with a great week downhill and also ideal x-c skiing at the Olympic venue, as well as a fist-clenching thrill ride on the Olympic bobsled track. Imagine that view all covered in white, and then the ski down from the top ! Nice to see you baptised into paddling, it's been a love for me over 60 years.
G2G this was spectacular. Thanks so much. I've been wanting to visit Adirondack Park for 30 years and I think, now, after seeing this, I will do so in the late summer of 2023. Great content, great production and great presentation by a very likeable someone who is obviously infected with "joie de vivre". Wonderful adventure this! Cheers.
Thank you for this nice comment - and I think you won’t regret a trip to the Adirondacks. Make sure to stop somewhere where you can go a bit off the beaten track - for me the stay at elk lake lodge was like a relaxing gift.
I hope everyone appreciates how hard you work, in a country that's not your own. You never stop trying at things that are "foreign" to you! btw anywhere out east (the NE coast) has long lines for everything, you have been fortunate. The chairs @ 21:31 are "Adirondack Chairs" I'm sure the people at Elk Lake Lodge shared that with you. My fave of the video was the birds eye view of you in the kayak @ 24:53, YEA! Make sure your boat is far enough away from water that it can't drift-out with out you. Bummer to be stranded and pay for a boat, lol. I lived out east and yes black flys can be annoying. I live in the South West and we don't have all that foolishness. Please come out here, you'll love it. Like your accent, Safe Travels!
Maybe I can visit again next time I am in the USA! And it’s crazy with these flies - we don’t have those in Europe. It was actually my fault that I got bitten so badly because I just thought that flies don’t bite and that they are too small to cause any harm. How wrong I was. 😂😂😂
I just wanted to say thank you for this video and introducing me to the Adirondacks. My wife and I are currently driving back to South Florida after a weekend there to celebrate our 29th anniversary. It was amazing! Keep doing what you do. Great work. Cheers!
WOW love your videos, but this one is really nice, drone takes superb, and I know the feeling of riding up mountains raining, and snowing. If there is something that we take when it is our time to go is Definitely The memories, so thanks for sharing those with me. 🤠💐
That was wonderful. I am so glad you got to visit NY state. No matter what people think about New York city, New York state is amazing and the people who live upstate are super nice! I can't wait for your trip to Vermont. You should come back to Vermont during ski season! Love your videos!!
I really wish I would have know when you were in New Jersey. There are loads of weird and wonderful places to visit in the country's ugliest state! LOL have a great holiday!
Lea, When people think of NY State they think of the city. Nothing could be farther from the beauty that is nearby in the mountains and lakes. I had the pleasure of working the area several times and also several BMW rallies are held there lending opportunity to see the places first hand. From the Catskills , the Finger Lakes, the Great Lakes, Olympic Villages and all areas in between it is a magnificent state. Different ethnic backgrounds of the inhabitants provide a very diverse culture and foods to enjoy. with god roads to travel and an abundance of places to stay it s truly a motorcyclists paradise. Rivers to mountains and curves to negotiate twist the grip and see the sites. I look forward to the Green State of Vermont. We rallied there a few times as well high in the mountains of the ski areas and the Lake Champlain region to the French Canadian border. It too is a wonderful place. What did you name the the newest Ben and Jerry's ice cream?
Hey, don’t spoiler the secret where we are going next week (and how much Ice cream I gonna have 😂😂😂). You are completely right though about everything that you say about the state New York!
Ciao Lea, questo di viaggio è di gran lunga il più bello di tutti quelli che ho visto e seguito fino a qui. Un posto che sembra un misto di paradiso terrestre e un ambiente stile Last of Mohawk. Grazie infinite.
Lea Upstate New York is gorgeous in every season. I ski a lot there in the winter and do a lot of kayaking and motorcycle camping there. As usual, you captured the beauty fabulously!!! I love all of the Northeast as I live in Connecticut. Wonderful video Lady! Of course you get more Roses until your next video. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🏆🏆 Ride SAFE and BE safe Lea! 🙌👏👏👏👏👏👏🤙🖖✌👌👍👋🙂
Hi Lea, what a lovely area of the USA, in lots of ways it reminded me of our Lake district here in the UK, only on a far smaller scale of course. It seemed so peaceful just paddling that canoe on the lodge's lake and realising you had previously been in that other area before, it's so lovely to re-kindle memories of previous times spent. Thank you.
Adirondacks are absolutely massive. 6 million acres. Bigger than Yosemite national park, Yellowstone National Park, Glacier National Park combined. Literally the largest protected park in the lower 48 states.
Lake District is much smaller and has smaller elevation as well by a considerable amount. I believe the highest peak in the Adirondacks is 3k feet (1k meter) higher than the highest peak in the Lake District.
I’m glad you enjoyed our back yard in the state of New York. The Adirondack mountains are the best part of New York is far as I can see I’ve been going to the Adirondacks since 1966 usually around the long lake area absolutely gorgeous and beautiful.
Glad you got to enjoy my current hometown of Utica and the Adirondacks. It's some of the deepest and darkest wilderness you can still find so close to the east coast of the USA. We call the flowers "Forget-me-nots"
Like you, I prefer staying off the beaten path. The peace and serenity of nature is not only relaxing but really does rejuvenate the body and soul. Your ability to capture the beauty and feeling of each area you travel through is amazing, makes me feel like I am there with you, even to those terrible looking Black Fly bites. OUCH!
It looks a bit like the Eastern part of Norway to me, the landscape I mean. Many lakes, woods and rivers. I have very fond memories of Norway. The Jungfrau has such an elevator too. From the train station (it’s in the mountain) you can take the lift to the observatory.
I grew up in Adirondacks for 22 years. Went to camps, canoed the upper Hudson River and my grandparents had a home on Lake Lucerne as well as the Lake Lucerne Inn frequented by NY travelers. Thank you for posting this! It’s no doubt more commercialized than years back.
Omg how nice. You spent time in my second home city of Utica NY. I’m originally from Bosnia immigrated to USA 1994. And Adirondack you couldn’t pick better place to visit. I recently started following you and I enjoy watching your videos. Keep traveling and posting. You should visit Bosnia as well if you didn’t already.
Thank you so very much for sharing your motorcycle trip of East Coast of America I really enjoyed it. You have shown me parts of the countryside that I probably wouldn’t have got to see experience the wonderful culture. It bought back some wonderful memories for me as I am now no longer able to physically travel since 2011 when I was diagnosed with cancer, I thought I would be able to travel again last year but my cancer has returned.
My wife and watched this together on our home TV. I have commented before on your beautiful drone work. This episode was again so wonderful. You inspired me to get my first drone, a DJI mini 2. Thank you so much!!
Really enjoyed this adventure... Big Thumbs Up! Growing up in Texas, I had thought New York was just the City. Imagine my surprise seeing the beautiful mountains and lakes when I passed through upstate NY on a trip hauling a bulldozer from Dallas to Montreal. I seem to remember a waterfall near the two lane highway we traveled. Later I visited Vermont and lived at Lake Winnepasaki in New Hampshire... so I know about black flies, too! Look forward to the next video in Vermont! Happy trails.
They are really nasty little buggers! This was the first time I encountered them. And I have to admit that my knowledge about the state New York had not been that big either before I went there myself!
The view from the top of the mountain was stunning! We call the little flowers "forget-me-nots". I imagine you will not forget our famous "little black flies" of the boreal forest. The further north you go into Canada the worse they get. They like to bite along the hairline and go into ones ears, nose mouth and eyes. Nasty and annoying little buggers. Love your vlogs, just finished your great book. Kindest regards from BC Canada.
They actually even bit all my scalp, I had bloody bites all over it that opened each team I showered 😂😒. Learned a lesson again, I just thought that these small flies would do no harm!!!
You were in my stomping ground!! In Long Lake, yes the plane is gone as the fella that owned it died. The black flies can be viscous! So much to do in the ADK....and even more remote areas....but keep in mind....drone use in major portions of the Adirondacks is illegal. Glad you got to experience some of it...hope you get to again someday. Happy travels.
Thanks for this superb and beautiful video. As I live nearby and have hiked and visited the Adirondacks for all my life, I appreciate you capturing and showing our beautiful area. Thank you and all the best to you.
Those of us that have grown up and live in the Adirondacks have always said the Black Fly should be the State of NY bird instead of the bluebird. They are certainly an experience but one you eventually become accustomed to (because you have no choice). Nice video showing our lovely area without exploiting it...Thank you!
That was a wonderful spot you found. I don’t think any one would use the word “famous” in describing black flys or mosquitoes. More like infamous maybe. Fortunately their season doesn’t last long. I have enjoyed these videos. These were all areas my wife and I rode together. First time through Lk Placid we nearly froze. I found the last pair of Gortex ski gloves in a shop to keep my hands dry and warm. I still have them. That was our first ever long distance trip and we quickly realized we needed to get much better gear. It was a cold, wet, and windy trip in May. But we were hooked. Thanks for the memories.
Well I did not know such a quiet and peaceful place is so accessibleand beautiful... Really really like the video. Thank you so much for being there for us!
@@Got2Go Americade is bike rally in Lake George NY. close to where you were riding. You would have loved Alexandria Bay if you stayed more westerly NY. If you find yourself in trouble when up this way give a shout as I'm in Manchester NH.
Thanks for that beautiful tour. Close, relatively, to where I live north of the border. I will have to make a trip there next summer. Thanks for pointing out these gems. Cheers and safe riding.
Great video thank you very well done. This is my backyard all day trips beautiful video . Adirondack is bark eaters in Indian for the Indian's that lived there in the harsh winters they ate the bark to survive. Thanks again cheers to ya.
I just discovered your channel and I love it! What a surprise for me to see you riding through, and loving, my home state! I can't well enough describe the remoteness, beauty, scents, and the overwhelmng sensory experience of traversing this great state. I've done it in cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, and horses. Our lakes, mountains, rivers, fields, gorges, and caves are simply stunning and satisfying to the soul. You have done a fine job of capturing a little bit of that feeling. You must come back and explore more. You would not believe how much more there is! Brava!!
Nice video ! Next year I will take the 6 hour journey on the motorcycle to do the same thing ! This year we’re taking the car lol ! Be safe , thanks for making the nice video !
Ma’am, coming from an US army son, ya can’t use kilos and states in the same discrimination. Soon doing a road trip from Florida to Canadia and worried about my truck using liters of fuel vs gallons. Haha my pops and I were stationed in Baumholder when I was a we lad and lived off base. Most beautiful times as a young man. This channel is amazing!!!
What a beautiful area! I'm glad you went North instead of into NYC. New York State is magnificent, the city is not (for me anyway) Thanks for bringing us along!
Beautiful! I live in Amherst NY not to far away. From what I've seen on your journey/vacation I will go there. All along it's right in my backyard ! Wow, thank you for the amazing video!
The entire Adirondack Park is absolutely spectacular in all seasons. The drive through the High Peaks region is amazing. And quite simply, Lake George is the King of the lakes in my books. Oh, and blackflies just laugh at bug spray. Doesn't work to repel the nasty little things.
Thank you again Lea for the beautiful scenery that brought to mind the most beautiful moments of all my yearly rides, all those years past, through the Adirondacks, on my rides to the East Coast and eastern Canada. I always stayed in this tiny motel on Cranberry lake. The funny thing was that I had to get there before 5:00 PM in order to get some dinner at the only restaurant there(Unless I went up the mountain to another place). That spot on the lake was magical(Less the black flies of course). Upstate NY, in my opinion, has some of the most beautiful scenery in the East. Looking forward to the next video.
So happy you enjoyed the upper NY area and the Adirondack park. I love over near the VT boarder and been on many of the roads you traveled. So nice seeing them being shown on motoblogs. Great episode. Keep them coming.
Beautiful episode. The "black flies" can be terrible. Other places in New England they are called "no-see-ums". That is because you do not see what bites you. We would have to keep the kids covered at times. A trip to Maine we have the no-see-ums and mosquitoes . Really unpleasant. Looking forward to the rest of your trip. I am not taking notes as to where you are. I will have to go back and look as previous episodes. Thanks again.
Looks like you passed within a mile of our home when you were travelling along route 28. We love it here and enjoy everything about the Adirondacks...except the black flies. Fortunately, they are only prevalent during May and June. Some one should have given you a headnet.
Beautiful video for sure! I have not been to the Adirondack mountains before. It looks beautiful. I may go in September when there are no blacks flies. I have heard they are viscous and they certainly attacked you! 😩 Best!
Thank you for the review of the Adirondacks. I live here, and we some times forget what a beautiful place we live in.
Great episode! The Adirondack Park is New York’s jewel 💎
the scenery is breathtaking, the quality is epic, one of the most enjoyed 31 minute I’ve had watch a TH-cam vide . thank you Lea for bringing us along 😍

The Jungfrau has such an elevator too. From the train station (it’s in the mountain) you can take the lift to the observatory.
Ah I never did that! Have to visit there at one point too!
Having grown up near the Adirondack’s, I really enjoyed this video. My cousin owns several resorts on Lake George. That lake is my happy place.
That’s awesome! I have to admit that I have never really explored lake George, but maybe next time!!!
Now Lea... I never use these words for this video,, nice , beautiful, stunning.. ! ... I'm Satisfied 👍

Awesome..love nature the beauty and remoteness you found yourself…great travelling….
Wow! That Elk Lake looks wonderful 😊
Love all your episodes....but this one!!!
Epic ! Love it. ❤
Thank you so much!!!
Loved your Adirondack Mountains Visit... Please come back and stay at The Alpine Homestead Circa 1850 Classic Adirondack Home
Brava!!
That was a nice episode😃 Lots of nice nature that somehow reminds of Norway.
The important thing is to keep the enthusiasm and continue to make the next video I always wish you good luck travel camping Fans From Indonesia Good
Thank you so much and hello to Indonesia!
Good call Lea! Northern New York is absolutely beautiful. The city of New York has way to many people. Thanks for sharing. 😊
I actually like both - but for this trip this decision was definitely the best one😍
Nice video ! Next year I will take the 6 hour journey on the motorcycle to do the same thing ! This year we’re taking the car lol ! Be safe , thanks for making the nice video !
Elk Lake looks like a cool place. I want to do the NEBDR good info. Thanks for the videos.
Would love to do that too!!!
Hey Lea! Thank you for these awesome pictures! Enjoy your trip! :)
Thank you for watching!
Very informative and enjoyable.
Thank you!

If I where ever to make it back east I would love to check out the Adirondacks. I am not into big cities much. Great video Lea as usual.
For sure would be worth a visit if you travel there again!
Beautiful! 😊
Thank you!
👍 magnifique 🥰
💃🏻
What a beautiful area!
I'm glad you went North instead of into NYC.
New York State is magnificent, the city is not (for me anyway)
Thanks for bringing us along!
I like both New Yorks - but was happy I made this choice on this trip because it was so beautiful!
Beautiful! I live in Amherst NY not to far away. From what I've seen on your journey/vacation I will go there. All along it's right in my backyard ! Wow, thank you for the amazing video!
Just a few words
Beautiful !!
Thanks for sharing your experience
Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
I'm new to the channel Lea and I'm hooked! So nice to see these beautiful places without getting bitten by the flies, love your accent as well.😊
It was so nice seeing NY State again. We rode there on our bikes a few years ago. Thanks
That was excellent! Thank you! I leave for the Adirondacks on 9/3 and can't wait!
So happy you enjoyed the upper NY area and the Adirondack park. I love over near the VT boarder and been on many of the roads you traveled. So nice seeing them being shown on motoblogs. Great episode. Keep them coming.
Beautiful mountains and views. Glad you didn't go to the city, yuk! It's so green and scenic, amazing. Ride Safe!
Looks like a great area to unwind a bit.....and love the drone footage on Elk Lake!!
Yes, I loved the days there
Your drone footage as always was beautiful!
What a funny name for such nasty little companions 😂
Looks like you passed within a mile of our home when you were travelling along route 28. We love it here and enjoy everything about the Adirondacks...except the black flies. Fortunately, they are only prevalent during May and June. Some one should have given you a headnet.
Beautiful video for sure! I have not been to the Adirondack mountains before. It looks beautiful. I may go in September when there are no blacks flies. I have heard they are viscous and they certainly attacked you! 😩 Best!
Who knows what other mean creatures might appear there later in the year - maybe the black flies grew to black monsters then 😂
@@Got2Go 😂😂😂
Beautifully done!
Thank you !
