I always thought the message was clear. The lyrics talk about no emotion, living in a numb world, trying to wake people up to the truth "music is the weapon" "cant bear it, no more lies." "eyes covered, ears covered. like a duplicate doll. cant live like that" They live in a world where emotions are controlled and they want to use their music to wake everyone up and fight back.

The A represents anarchy, they are talking about overthrowing an oppressive government.

ATEEZ has a huge and kinda complex storyline. As i know, there are 2 dimensions in their lore, "Dimension A" & "Dimension Z". In this video is "Dimension Z" and there's a world called "Strickland" which is ruled by the government. All kinds of art are forbidden to prevent people having the emotions, because they believe that human emotions are bad things and makes the world imperfect, so they brainwashed people to live emotionless like a robot. ATEEZ are trying to wake people up from this controlling.
Btw, there's a group called "HALATEEZ" which is ATEEZ themselves but from the dimension Z (they're always wearing all black and hat). They're the one who started this rebel, but they're disappeared for some reason. So in this video is ATEEZ that acrossed from the Dimension A to Dimension Z to help (i think)

Thanks for the reaction! Guerrilla in concert was INSANE. The break the wall section was so intense the whole stadium was vibrating. People outside after the concert asked us what was going on. I’ve been to a lot of concerts over the years and Ateez was definitely top 5.

it's my favourite song from ATEEZ and one of the reasons I went to their concert last year :). singing "break the wall" with everyone at the concert was an amazing experience.
I know what you mean regarding the story line. I do keep up (or try to, at least) with the story line of my ult group and slowly try to get into the story line of my second most favourite group. I can imagine how many fans actually enjoy searching for all these hidden meanings etc. But I only read what others have discovered/explained about story lines of my most favourite groups XD
therefore regarding ATEEZ I only know they have a concept of being pirates. but I still love songs and enjoy MVs even though I don't know much about the story line.

I don't agree about storylines. I think having an overarching story that's told through music and visuals is extremely artistic and adds more value to what they are creating.

Tbh I don't feel like you need to know or understand the storyline to enjoy the music in general (just my opinion) but that's only if you're just listening and not watching the mvs (even then I still just kinda enjoy the visuals without diving deep into the meaning of it) I can't lie I'm always a bit lost when it comes to the lore but it's still really fun to see everyone theorising about it. The diary versions of their albums actually have the ongoing story. So, every comeback, it's like another part/chapter gets revealed. Thank you for reacting, I really enjoyed watching ☺️

WBD means will be done. They have videos that come out before the music videos that explain the concepts of the albums.

Ateez do have I huge and big big storyline. So Ateez are pirates and those pirates wich is the members of Ateez.,have different versions of them in another dimension called halatez or the black pirates and they are a Revolutionary group against a government and this government called Strickland because they forbidden all types of art or any human emotions and ofcourse music and dance. and their is a sandclock wich called the cromer in their storyline this thing allows you to transfer through dimensions and that's what the black pirates did and they did go to Ateez's universe and the name of the universe is A world and the name of the black pirates or Halatez's world is world Z .and i can literally talk and right all day because Ateez's storyline so rich and complex

for your own personal funsies you should watch some fan cams from actual concerts, the fan chants go so hard. i've honestly been sleeping on ateez before bouncy came out but i would love to see them live and be in that crowd.

I even without diving into the lore of some MV's I think it is easy to relate to the lyrics, or to encapsulate the MV in its own little world.
Like think about it. Sometimes we feel like we are being stressed by external factors, but Music can be a way of escapism.
Most of the time I just view the MV as its own story because it is harder to keep up with lore. It still makes sense. Now that I have watched more Ateez's MVs i do see the arching storyline or notice some references here and there but it isn't too distracting.
