This is the first video of yours I've seen out of several that I've watched that made me emotionally sad to watch. Iraqi people are so kind and hospitable and giving you all free stuff and welcoming with open arms and yet look at what America, our tax dollars did to their country. They NEVER deserved their country, culture, and people to be assaulted and bombed for years by our policies which have destroyed generations. Iraq was the bedrock of civilization and one of the richest nations on Earth and thanks war criminals Bush and Blair its been ruined. Will take easily 50 to 100 years to revive back to stability. So sad. Thank you David for showing the world the true face of Arabs and the Muslim world that the mainstream media would never have the balls to. God Bless you, Shukran 🙏🏻
You realize the US didn't ruin Iraq out of nowhere. They had their own issues first and then the US ams many other nations including Arab nations had to go in an get rid of a dictatorship and terrorism. Iraq was a beautiful country. And the people along with the USA are working to rebuild
@@splats6164man the Arab people countries and Islamic african Arabic all of them are not good and probably we are racict and they want to destroy them countries and then leave to Germany or Sweden to be a foreigner immigrant👍🏽👍🏾 believe me we are not be able to building a powerful countries like babylon or ashur. I like how you appreciate the culture. foods wherever you go. ..And what I noticed from this video is the generosity and friendliness of the Iraqi people even the younger ones.. I was smiling all along viewing ...I saw you really enjoyed being with them..this was nice. As always Thanks David and stay safe wherever you go.
I love this video Really wonderful to see the side of Iraq that no one realizes .People are people wonderful all around the world. Im happy to see such kind people in Iraq and glad you showed the world . Peace and blessings to Iraq a miss understood country that within its borders exists people of kindness honor and humility. The food is amazing I get so hungry on your videos so yes your Job is done once again :) The markets I love full of yummy foods and arts crafts :) Thank you for awesome video :) Have great day
WOW David: great start to the Iraq series. I am going to love this. From what I see now there is nothing to be afraid of by visiting Iraq. The people are genuinely authentic: friendly, warm and inviting. The food and all those treats (they really love their sugar in the Middle East) are very appealing. The raisin (I wonder if it was the black raisin) and pomegranate juices are two of the healthiest drinks you can have. Boy, they just couldn't help feeding you. Now we see where you got all the rings. Nice. You know how much I love history and culture too, and because of the teaser you put on I am very interested to see what's next. Great start. You never disappoint. Keep up the good work 🙏🕊️🇹🇹🇨🇦
Great piece David, I goes to show people are not governments. The smiles and hospitality shined through in the video. Thank you for sharing such a perspective we rarely get to see. Blessings and safe travels.

Very lucky to taste Iraqi authentic food! I miss how our meat, vegetables, and fruits taste! it is so different there, the land and the rivers do their magic to the food in general!🌼
I miss Baghdad so much. I went there in 2008-2009 cause I was in the military. I can't go back due to high risk of me being involved in the war. When I was there, people were amazing. Something I can't do due to military restrictions.
Welcome to my country. We are a people who love life and love to help people. It is a wonderful and beautiful country. You will be shocked by the beauty of my country. Most Western media only show the negative side, and the positive side does not

Thank you, Sir, for showing Baghdad. I wish I could be there to be your guide. The next time, I highly recommend you get a guide to show you around. Iraq's history and culture (and language) are very deep and complex, but largely unknown to travelers. And, oh, BTW that mosque at 19:40 was the first project I worked on after Architecture school, when Saddam wanted to build the world's largest mosque, but construction stopped in 2003 (when the war started) and has been abandoned since.
Indeed, my country is in a state of chaos after 2003, but when I saw the video, which 19:57 I am very smiling, I look at my country despite all the corruption and it is proud Thank you for this video

I would like to go back to Iraq for closure. I have always wondered if the Iraqi people would welcome me or be angered that a former Soldier who fought there returned to spend time with the people that I fell in love with so long ago.
I hope you get that chance. Those kind of journeys can be very healing and I have no doubt that it would be a completely different experience. I think it would be a mix of emotions but to be honest I hope you do it and find that closure. Sending peace, serenity and blessings.
