Abbas is a real friend. The best part of traveling is making friends along the way - it really is. Every time I visit a new country or city I meet someone, share a meal, a garden, a connection. What a privilege.
Everyone is welcome here in Iraq .. you’ll find real generosity and hospitality. A comment for those who always ask about whether Iraq is safe or not: travelling is for the brave, not for the coward. You have seen the videos of globe trotters here in this channel or elsewhere. Iraq is just like any other country, full of history and traditions as well as hospitable locals like Abbas. Once you visit Iraq, you’ll find another time to pay a revisit cuz you won’t be able to experience everything in one single trip.
Already can't wait to return and visit all the places we haven't been. I mean it when I say Iraqi people are the kindest we've met on our travels, we feel family here.
