Almost all of the very little we know of our history is presented through the lens of the European gaze. For far too long our history has been told by gun toting, swashbuckler traders and missionaries with bibles. That is why this is such an important, groundbreaking work. It's also brilliant. You see, history is too powerful a weapon to be left in the hands of the outsiders to control, so thank you all for making history - our history. [Solo Monk.]

The blood stains on the Drua, really gives a realistic insight on how powerfully symbolic this practice was. Blessed and launched with the blood of warriors.

I'm so glad and grateful that this is on TH-cam! I remember first viewing this on Facebook back in 2021 and was immensely moved by it. There's going to be big things coming their way for Fijian animators!!!!

Great Clip about VITI MAKAWA. Showing how Ancestors do to sacrifice their physical body. So that their souls can go back to where the souls feels at home. The Vuravura ni Yalo. (Spiritual Realm) to protect their Loved ones Land and Sea. Their Land has eyes. Spirituality in fiji is another level!! For a small country they have the most God's than any other continent..crazyyyy

Was recommended to watch this from a cousin of mine, and as someone who loves to consume a variety of 2D and 3D animation (especially anime) I thoroughly enjoyed this. The mixture between the problems in both the past traditional society and the present modern society is so raw. I love the background music you chose and the facial expressions of the background characters, both of which added so much depth into the message of this film. The artstyle used deserves its own praise as well for how well and different each character was drawn !! Keep up the good work bro....I personally give this masterpiece a rating nothing less of a 10/10❤

Isa, vinaka for your thoughts. Shout out to Knox Kalounisiga, who was the musician who created the music for the film.
