You do realize that every one of these old muscle cars are heavily modified right? Meaning they aren’t even the same car as it’s name anymore. Everything but the body has been modified.

@Lucifer with good tires and a good tune most old school cars run in the twelves stock. Is that slow? The 1970 chevelle 454 ls6 ran a 13.12 back in 1969 and that's on stock tires wich were absolutely terrible back then, give it a good tune and tires it's doing 12.5

A BMW compact crossover X3M would destroy that Chevelle with 11sec runs stock. 5 seats, 4wd, cargo room, heated and cooled seats and cupholders, climate control, 10 airbags, etc. 11sec. I love muscle cars but don't mistaken them to be king of the street.

I didn't get to run at Mission this year. Covid shut the border down. Oh well, it was a good chance to get some work done on the 68 notchie 'Cuda. It'll be interesting how much life I get out of this new 426 small block stroker next season. I'ma thinkin there's gonna parts left on the track....but I'm gonna try it anyway... short piston skirts is what scares me.

@Don Juan my 68 Camaro has no problem hooking up but it’s design is much better then a viper. Pushrod v8 still used and most popular engines ever.. 1950 tech

Anything built after electric ignition and the carbs were gone is new school. Old school = points, condenser, carburetor. No computer at all.

no they didnt race eachother, just saying best preformance in show, the ole white pickup dragged and the black primered won all day, but i guess since trucks lol. the top end was amazing in the pickups considering the low end gearing for takeoff the trucks were outstanding

When I did my burnouts it was all about intimidating the opponent with my massive h.p. When your up against someone who's car sounds rippin and meaner then yours it can intimidate you. I had a 72 R/T PREMIUM DODGE CHALLENGER, 383 built and balanced with no expense spared. It was a 340 4 speed car originally.

Sweet my neighbor bought his wife a 73 Light Blue/white top/ black interior/340/ Challenger brand new in 73.She kept that car sanno until her son one of my best friends received it as a graduation present from highschool in 86.Boy did he f*ck that car up put a double pop top sunroof,cut the back seat out for subwoofers and took it Macco and got it repainted as once his mom's saw wht he did to the car she was done.Well he became a police officer and the car sat for the next 15/20 yrs in a garage and he let the scrap man have it.We all did dumb shit I had a real 70 SS BBC 4 speed Chevelle got in a bind sold it to a friend well he got sick told his wife if he dies sell me the car so he passed she got a younger guy he traded it for a dam Trans Am then left her.
