  • How to let go and trust yourself (trust the universe) in 4 steps
    Transcript:
Recently, I felt like my mind had me tied up in chains, and finally I was able to fill in the warm light of presence, see the path that was laid out in front of me, which was once covered in branches of opinions, should and should not. But how did I get to this new place where I can trust my in their guidance and move forwards with confidence that each step I take is aligned with my higher purpose and my mission on this planet.
That's what I want to share with you today. Hi, my name is Amy. Welcome back to my TH-cam channel. This video is how do I let go and trust myself. Thank you so much for your comments. Thank you so much for subscribing and let's jump straight into the video. Trusting yourself and trusting the universe is one and the same thing because ultimately we are expressions of the universe.
But to simplify this, I'm going to take you through four steps of how you can trust yourself just to make things a little bit more simple. Step number one is to quiet your mind, thoughts, opinions, and ideas. For other people, a constantly floating around in the collective consciousness and if we're not careful, we can get so caught up and lost in all of these thoughts as beings that are always connected through the collective consciousness.
It's really easy to get muddled up with other people's thoughts and opinions. So we need to learn how to be in stillness so that we can listen to our own guidance without getting lost in all of these other thoughts and ideas and opinions, thoughts and opinions from loved ones are usually the strongest. So you may notice that the voices from your parents might be really, really strong and have a big influence over the decisions that you make.
Maybe you're so used to making decisions with those voices kind of telling you what to do. It can be a really good idea and a good practice to start to learn how to make decisions for yourself. And this might be deciding for the next two weeks. Next month I'm going to only make decisions for myself, and I'm not going to ask anyone else for advice.
And this can be a really good practice to start to separate your own guidance from other people's guidance, because sometimes we if we're not used to listening to ourselves, it can be difficult for us to actually discern our own voice from other people's voices. I've gotten into a kind of place where your voice is muddled up with other people's voices.
So just maybe taking that time to make your own decisions and figure out your own voice and your own guidance can be a really good tool. And then once you have got a better kind of clearer identity card, identification of your own truth and your own voice, then maybe you can start asking for advice from other people. And, you know, asking for other people's opinions can be really helpful.
As long as we have got our roots grounded in our own voice, so we are able to listen to all of the voices, all of the opinions, maybe the ones that we find are the most important, and the people that we can trust the most. And remember, when you start to maybe open up space for other people's opinions or other people's guidance is important too.
It's important to always listen to how you feel and ultimately make your own decisions from your own heart. I just want to emphasize that always keeping in mind your own best interest and the best interests of anyone else involved in the decision that you're going to be making. Step number two is to ask yourself questions. If you are completely lost and confused with how to move forward with a situation, you can ask yourself a question and you can either write the answer down, or you can go inwards and listen to what answer bubbles up at this time.
So having a practice of going inwards and observing your internal world is going to make this so much easier. If you're not writing it down. Once you've asked yourself the question, close your eyes. Focus on your breath. Turn your attention inwards and just listen. Listen to will. Answers start to bubble up and it's good to get into some kind of stillness.
Practice before doing this. Or whether that's meditation, exercise, dance, breathwork, whatever way helps you get into a place of stillness before is going to be really helpful for this. But once you've asked yourself that question, observe what also start to bubble up. And these answers bubble up in different ways for different people, that could be in the form of images, voices, feelings, whatever is for you.
Just listen and see what comes up for you. I just want to emphasize the more you practice this, the easier it will get. If you notice any resistance. So when I say resistance, I mean negative thoughts or negative feelings coming when you also ask yourself these questions, take your attention to this resistance and listen to that and ask the resistance what it is telling you.
