I'm under 30 y/o and few years ago I started having floaters, since then they've become worse but I can still live with them. It's good that they're being researched, I've been to doctors and they cannot find anything wrong with me or my eyes, so it's just something caused by my high myopia.

Great video! Thank you Dr Sebag and the team for representing and standing up for eye floater / Myodesopsia sufferers who have largely suffered in silence until recently. 😢
Updating the textbooks / training material is a great initiative to raise the understanding of and respect for the condition amongst medical professionals, and the Nanoparticle + laser technology shows huge potential to be the safer and less invasive treatment that is sorely needed 🙏

is it possible to make more updates for the supporters and maybe future supporters?
    - timeline planned vs. actual status until treatment will be available
    - any news in new research results
    - presentation of old researches (e.g results of rabbit eyes you mentioned) in your video
    - how can other countries support e.g in europe?
    - what is actual need most (how can anybody support) e.g support in translation, marketing -> create awareness of VDM project in floater newsgroups all over the world ...?
    thank you for your work!

This is very good news!! Thank you doctor, and congratulations for these achievements!! Looks like things are finally improving significantly in several frontlines! I am 40, my question (to myself) is if I should go for vitrectomy that seems to be safer than even doctors believe, or if I should keep suffering and wait for the new treatment to be available.

I was born with x-linked juvenile retinoschisis and huge vitreous veils. The one in my right eye was smaller but I lost vision in my left eye because that veil was apparently too big to ignore (about 40%). Too bad, because the retinoschisis was less severe in that eye. Now at 78 I have about 20/100 and 20/1000. I did have a vitrectomy at age 62 and it was wonderful to finally be done with that pesky vitreous veil in my "better" eye. It was difficult to get an ophthalmologist to do the operation since I had no backup eye. We didn't have the technology in the 1940s but now that we do, it's so important for babies to be examined. I have schooled my big family on my inherited disease, so the female transmitters and the male patients know what is going on. As a bonus, during my vitrectomy I had a capsulotomy so I don't have to wonder when I'll need a laser treatment for a secondary cataract. (I have had both cataract surgeries.). Sadly, there is not yet any treatment for retinoschisis.
