I have used this for a little over a year and love it. The guy who makes it, @southernoregonprospector9074, is incredibly creative, responsive and helpful. He mentioned somewhere that he is designing hardened hammers for the machine, which would be amazing. I made the bucket filter and it works well, but I am struggling with the screen clogging under suction. I like the way one of my favorite youtubers, @omegageek64, empties the ground ore back out of the chute and have been trying that. Good point about protecting your lungs. Despite these years of people trying to stop viruses with cloth masks, milling rock is not a good time to be an anti-masker...haha.

I watched several of the videos on his channel before I made the purchase. There was something about his tone of voice that left me with the impression he was a good guy. He was very easy to do business with on eBay. I've watched @omegageek64 a couple of times and saw how he empties it. The way that works for me (since everything is bolted down) is removing the four bolts on the plate covering the "torture chamber." I just brush what's in there into the bucket. I found that having it bolted/clamped down makes it easier to work with. When I'm crushing without the system, I wear a full Face cover respirator with replaceable filters.

I love hearing that folks are using my mill for years now, and I promise that those hardened hammers are coming out soon. I tried several methods, and have it narrowed down to something I like. It takes a lot of time to test new equipment and parts, and building mills takes up most of my time. I plan on releasing new videos soon going over general updates, as well as some new, larger mills. Very exciting stuff coming!

@@southernoregonprospector9074 Please reserve me a spot in line for the hammers! Your intelligence and hard work has given so many people the chance to move to the next level, since larger rock crushers aren't backpackable and, in my case, beyond an expense that is justifiable to the wife...

Beautiful setup! I love the cart idea, makes it a little mobile roll around unit. Liked and subbed, can't wait to see what else you do.

Fascinating! I should send you some high grade ore to give that machine an official test!

@@rcsurffishing what would you prefer, low sulfite ore, high sulfite ore, something with lots of pyrites or very little. I got Galena, I got some very heavily mineralized quartz. Or just some random stuff?

Just keep in mind, that the pillow block bearing is rated for only half the RPMs of a 4.5" grinder. Running tge grinder continuously, as done in this video will wear it out quickly. Better to pulse the grinder. That said, the bearings are quite inexpensive to replace.

Looks like it works well and should release any free mill gold. May have to look into acquiring one.

When I checked earlier this afternoon, he had one available to purchase in the current batch.

@@rcsurffishing , I messaged him about the next batch and he said end of August. He does have a notifcation list which he put me on. He suggests using a variable speed grinder 4.5-5" on low settings to save the bearings. Thanks for the video, nice set up,

Tried this config but with a dustopper pro in front a shop-vac 2.5gal/2.5php. filters clogged in minutes. Tried the large and small punchplate screens. Tried with and without the dustopper pro vortex plate. Also cratered the bucket every time the flapper plate on the mighty mill feed tube created even a partial seal.

Hello, just a couplequestions. I'm planning to use it for glass frit. Are there different setting where the out put size varies? I sift the glass into 4 different sizes from coarse to powder. Do you think this would work for my application
