Great, well in depth video on salt's mate really enjoyed it and definitely a must for people to watch if thinking of switching salt's, I have a ready to make bucket of tropic pro salt in case of emergencies, so quick and easy to mix up and like you said , can store nearly indefinitely, alot of people always wonder how log you can store salts for and are always about saving it for long periods but I've never had a problem. Great video mate 👍
Just subscribed, I've got a Red Sea Nano Max on the way and heard Jay mention your Chanel on a You Tube binge watch haha looking forward to see it progress
Great salt this mate, after watching the brs video and hearing that its consistent throughout the whole bucket i switched to it around 9 months ago, brilliant salt :-)
Really interesting video. Never thought to test the fresh saltwater. Just the TDS of the RO water. I can't fault this salt. So glad I opted for this in my setup. Enjoyable watch. See you on Friday 👍 jays_real_reef_uk
I just moved to this salt and it definitely mixes much nicer than the Red Sea blue bucket... I do have to add some alk to buffer it up to 8.5 though for my tank. Great video man 👍
Good video on the this salt I never try any new salt been useing instant ocean salt from the start but funny a nuff my corals don't seem to pop so I may look in to pro-reef 👍🐠
Cheers mate,do you dry mix your salt in the bag first ? I was told to do this as I think the alk component is heavier and sinks in the bucket ,don't quote me on this, but wonder if that's why the alk reading was lower than stated ? Cracking video again mate, very informative, I've a bucket of it on the way this week
Great vid, really interesting to see the results. I’ve used a few different salts but never Tropic Marin. Been using Fritz for a while now but might try Tropic Marin on a tank to see how it does.
Great vid Ross. Its defiantly the best salt around. I wouldn’t use anything else. £7 for 25L of salt is high. I used to pay £5 and I thought that was too much. I will make an Aquati order soon to start making my own RODI. Look forward to next weeks stream. Have a good week mate 🙂
Great vid Ross, I did the same a couple of months ago and my results were pretty much the same. Around 6.7 dkh etc. That however was below 1.026 (35ppt) as I run my salt between 1.023 and 24. I'm guessing if I did the mix to 1.026 it may be in-between the 7-8. Will have to test this.
Yes it is consistent, ive never had an issue with it, the salt is brilliant, mixes up in 15mins and add it straight to the tank, I love it, some batches from Turkey have been affected but the German batches are perfect, it tells you below the barcode where the salt is from.
Great video mate! This was my first choice for a salt after reading up online and a BRS video best salt of 2019/2020 or something like that, great info to know! 👍 @practical.reefer

thanks mate, ahh nice one, at least i know the tests weren't miles out then haha
Will it be concistant. And with the bad batches at the moment be careful

I heard that the phosphate levels in this salt can be way off and unlike other salt mixes they don't say free from phosphates.
I believe it's labelled as no added phosphate
@@BeardedReef Thanks for the reply. Interesting videos keep them up.
