Thanks for the explanations!
If actually, I am usgin instan ocean to reef, and I woud like to begin to use tropic marine, because teh KH difference, is necccesary to make the changre gradyally, to not affect actual coral or fich ?
I heard a rumor that Fuana Marin is making TM base salt for them. I wonder if this is true.
No, that's not true.
I started using phos feed, any tips? Should i turn my skimmer off? When i reach 0.5-.10 do i stop dosing? The instructions are ver vague
Not necessary to turn your skimmer off. The PHOS-FEED will not raise the PO4 in your system water column much at all. It is kind of the principle of the product. So you shouldn't see that going up by much. If you are following the instructions for dosing, then the corals are getting the PO$ they need, even if the PO4 in the water column is low.
@@louekus wow this makes perfect sense thank you. I just got the new trident that tedt for PO4 and it does not show the PO4 added but the hanna check does however
Excellent video and im a customer and always buy, but would have loved if u would explaine why inwould choose each one, why would i want more alk,or higher cal, and also why would i choose bio activ or when to choose syn,. Thank you
The decision to keep your system at higher or lower alkalinities is a personal preference. I prefer to mimic natural sea water when possible. The decision to use an AWC system is also a personal preference. These two factors will help you decide on the version of Tropic Marin salt that would be best to use in your system. But the factors that influence that personal preference are many, and ones that I wouldn’t be privy to. What I tried to explain in the video is more about, once those personal preferences are decided, which salt version does that indicate to use.
If you have further questions about those decisions, please give me a call in the office, and I can try to answer them.
@louekus the highlight of my reefering career is the fact that u have responded to my message, im gonna take a screenshot , print it, frame it and put it above my tank.
How do you switch to another brand of salt if you have been using the same one for a few years? I am thinking of switching to Tropic Marin.
I have pro reef, should I also use reef active carbon for better solution ?
Reef Actif is a good addition to your tank for set up and keep a good microbiologie.
How long can the Classic and Pro-Reef salts be held for in a mixing container?
You can store them for several months.
We don’t have 3th and 4th salt in Turkey
Please ask your dealer, if he could order it for you.
