  • Sarah Tilse, more commonly known as ‘Sarah’s Day’ is an Australian fitness influencer and TH-camr best known for her fitness, diet and wellness content. Whilst studying to become a teacher, Sarah began her online journey by posting about her hormonal acne online as a way to source advice but also to help others who were struggling with it as well. This expanded into fitness, wellness and lifestyle content, and on the date of this recording Sarah has over 3 million followers across her Instagram and TH-cam channels, and is the founder of multiple companies including Sarah’s Day, her personal brand, fitness ebooks and app, Sunee App - her recipe app, The Healthcode Podcast and The House of Groms, a creative strategy and production company. Sarah has also created products with several global brands including multiple drops on her own activewear line with White Fox, and her own protein and supplement powders with Tropeaka.
Having shared her life online for over 10 years including the birth of her two sons, Sarah has grown up in the digital space, and has had a lot of learnings along the way. Going from 5am wake ups and spending hours in the gym each day adhering to an incredibly strict diet, to juggling several businesses and two children, Sarah has seen incredible success from her work online but of course there have been some sticky moments too.
    thank you for watching!

I have literally followed Sarah’s channel since she lived at home with her parents hahaha (I remember that camera-broken video lol) and she has grown- got engaged, got married had TWO babies, grown in her career, AND YET, I still find her relatable! I am not married, I do not have children. I have had significant growth in my career, but no family (yet) Sooooo - it might have a lot to do with reliability, but with Sarah, it's the AUTHENTICITY that keeps me here! ❤

@@bonnietang3870 That’s not for you to decide. It doesn’t matter where she worked or what she did, it would eventually become obvious and she would have to deal with it “publicly” no matter what. The fact that her entire life is on camera, to bring it up, address it lightly and say she does not feel that details are for everyone to know.. very respectful way of going about it. If she went in on it and displayed his struggles daily, or tried to make money off of it.. maybe that would be different? But then again she could bring a lot of education and normalize these types of “disorders” or whatever it may be. Stay in your lane, worry about your own life is all I can recommend because at the end of the day.. someone will always ridicule her decision (obviously).

@@tinavegas4575 it is not her story to share… especially with MILLIONS watching. The comments and reactions they receive is far different from your life. I was one of the 30k that followed her because I went through a breakup at the same time and she was SO RELATABLE. I tried the shred life for a while and lost my period too. But I have been watching her for years and don’t plan on stopping until she hangs her hat up. I genuinely respect her approach to life and willingness to learn and grow.

I’m not familiar with the interviewer, this video came up on my suggestions because I follow Sarah‘s day. But what a lovely interview and interaction between the two. I have followed Sarah’s day for many years and I think she is a very authentic person. I’ve read through the comments and some of them are quite negative about her. I’m not sure why people are shocked that somebody would talk about themselves in an interview meant to literally talk about themselves. I think she does the best she can in the setting of a career where she shares her life. The culture we live in can be quite difficult and she does take it with respect and grace.

One thing I wish she would incorporate in her content is the advice of a registered dietitian. I haven’t consumed content of hers since 2020 because I was part of that group that was quite vulnerable and went along with her extreme phase, and coincidentally developed orthorexia, responsibility not pinned on her though. Now, after studying dietetics and finding balance and real health, this talk kind of heals some wounds and resentment I’ve had toward sarah since that time. Thanks!

I used to love Sarah, but had to stop watching because I simply don’t agree with how big of a focus her two boys are in her content - I mean at this point she’s a family channel. So little privacy all for the sake of “you guys are part of my life”. Of course it is completely up to her, but from an ethical standpoint I just can’t support her anymore but wish her well. Just wish her kids got to grow up in privacy with a normal childhood - many influencers manage to keep their kids out of their work life. They cannot consent to be filmed and show their private moments to millions of people because they can’t even comprehend what that actually MEANS.

  • @emmihaimerl7988

I am only 25 mins into this interview but I am enjoying it a lot. I used to follow Sarah's channel back when I was 16/17 years old, struggling with an eating disorder (falling into a similar set of believing what I was doing was "healthy"/"good") It was during that time that Sarah's "shred life" videos were trending and looking back/during my recovery a few years back I recognised how these kinds of videos were enabling me in my disordered mindset. To have this interview now and hear her reflecting back on that phase of her TH-cam channel and talk honestly about it and to own the content she put out there and to reflect on it critically means a lot to me (more than I would've thought it would) and also is interesting to look back on now and recognise and understand Sarah's situation back then better than I ever could have at 17. I, too, love looking back now, remembering that first-meet up, that break up video, the first tiny apartment Kurt and Sarah shared. good memories :D Anyhow, I just thought I'd leave this here before I get back to watching the rest of the video. All the love and respect going out to Sarah and her family!

Really enjoyed this conversation, and I love that Grace brought up the responsibility that influencers should take (to a degree) over their content relating to food and fitness. I hope Sarah has been able to accept some of the feedback she’s gotten in the last year or two regarding a message that can at times feel directed towards women suffering from ED. I had followed her for years, but had to take a step back because some of the content felt like it was pushing the boundaries of toxic health inspo. But I’m all for people growing and learning, and I wish the best for her family! She really does seem like such a great mum.

I first found Sarah whenever she announced to Kurt that she was pregnant with Fox. So I started to watch her whenever she posted every 3 days! Then I took a dive to her first videos and watched them all in order. I fell in love with her, her content, and I really enjoyed watching her grow from her "baby youtube" stage to now. All her fitness meet and greets, to moving into the small apartment, to the birth of Fox, of which I balled my eyes out. Then watching Kurt propose, the wedding, all of it! I can say one thing, I love Kurt more than the ex! and I remember when she was talking about all the horror that she was going through when she was pregnant with Malakai with all the trolls assuming, demanding, I was crying and frustrated with her! I’ve been following Sarah from day one. Had hormonal acne, PCOS and CIN3 (plus endometriosis). I had the procedure Sarah talks about in regards to CIN3, and she’s right, it caused major problems in pregnancy. I nearly had baby at 23 weeks as my body couldn’t hold baby in due to the surgery so I had to remove pre cancerous cells. I had to have a surgery to put a metal band in to keep baby in and a surgery at 38 weeks to remove the metal band. It’s baby’s 1st birthday today and without that surgery baby wouldn’t be here. However a massive point here is in the UK I had to push for a consultants care when pregnant and if I didn’t, the problem wouldn’t have been spotted by the consultant and baby wouldn’t be here. So if you’ve had CIN3 and a procedure to resolve it, demand support if you become pregnant ❤

I had routine check ups up check my body was holding baby in place but at one check up it was discovered my body wasn’t, so I was rushed into surgery. Next time, I’ll have this surgery (cervical stitch) from the beginning. It’s common to have the LLETZ procedure for CIN3 removal and not need to cervical stitch in pregnancy. As long as you’re being monitored it’s completely controllable 👌🏼😇

Loved to hear Sarah be interviewed about her thoughts and feelings since it brought a different perspective. Loved learning more about her through a different lens and listening to her talk about mistakes and how she’s grown. ❤️

I started watching from almost day 1. Stopped watching around the time Sarah was saying the "toxic culture" bits. Because of exactly what she was saying, she was not eating or switching diets and telling people it was what they "should" do with no evidence or reasoning and it was frustrating. Sooo nice to hear her saying she regrets it. Loved her personality but it just wasn't right. But I appreciate her for getting me thinking of my health, glad she is able to be honest about it.

I think its great for you and your family. I understand you are not showing off but I hope you can also understand why people like me don't follow your journey anymore without taking it personaly. I works 12 hour shifts, 6 days a week and still might never be able to aford a tiny house and kids, it makes you feel a bit shity when you constantly see flashy things and wealth spat in your face eveywhere on social media.

What a fun episode and really eye opening as well. I've been following both of you since around 2016 and I like how you talked about past things that you have learnt from because there are some things I wouldn't support nowadays either but it's good that you both stand by that and say look we were young and only learn from it as we're learning. Wishing for a more understandable and less toxic internet culture in the future.

Hello, thank you so much for having Sierra on. I absolutely adore Sarah! I started watching her back in the day when my kids were small and I just loved her life. It just seems so fun and adventurous and I was with her when she made the announcement of having fox! I tried like how to get one of her outfits when she started her clothing line couldn’t do it because it was always sold out but I really like Sarah and everything that she puts out. She was my inspiration for starting my TH-cam channel, so thanks again for sharing your life with us Sarah!

This was hard to watch. The answer to the title should be a resounding yes, and Sarah is unfortunately a prime example of this. I take issue with family vloggers in general as their children become part of their brand, they're not old enough to give consent or decide whether they want to be public figures, and they're put in an exposed and potentially dangerous situation when their parents disclose too much information about them online, which can be abused and poses a security threat in the wrong hands. I can only commend her for not disclosing her children's health issues.
I used to love watching Sarah's Day, was a follower for many years. She comes off as a wonderful mother, partner and friend. She has this fantastic energy about her. I unsubscribed however because of the many double standards and lies. It's hard to empathise with her when she sits here talking about her disordered eating and how difficult it was in light of the controversy following her exercise guide e-book, specifically marketed towards people who experience- or have experienced these issues and flat out refusing to respond to the criticism and concerns that followed. I totally understand deleting troll comments and abuse from one's channel, but that's not what she's done and doing. She mass removes comments on all her channels from anyone who doesn't sing praises, including ED sufferers who are subscribed to her and are VERY nicely stating that it's triggering and politely addressing concerns about aforementioned guide, the qualifications required to make such a guide, and the advertisement for it. When she finally responded she made herself out to be the victim and put it down to haters trying to take her down and hurt her brand. It's tone deaf to put it mildly. I recommend checking out Mia Findlay's videos on the topic.
Sarah will put warnings on vlogs discussing abortion and difficulty conceiving, but when it comes down to selling her products she doesn't extend any of the same empathy to her fans and customers who suggest improvements or incorporating help from someone qualified, like a clinician or dietician. I don't hate her, at all, but I can't respect her approach either.
