I'm Sara and I'm a new full-time Homeschooling Mom. I'm super excited to take you all along this crazy ride as I build my channel from the ground up. I would love for you to subscribe and join in our journey 😍
Q: Where are you from?
A: I was born in Pakistan but then moved to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia when I was only 9 months old. Have been raised and lived there all my pre-married life.
Q:Why do you mention Sweden in your videos?
A: I moved to Sweden after marriage. Lived there for 7 years, then moved back to Saudi Arabia in 2018.
Q: What is your education?
A: I have done a four year honours program in Information Technology and Computing.
Q: Who’s in your family?
A: I have been married to Naveed for 7 years. We have two sons - Yahya is 3 and baby Ziyad is 9 months old.
Q: Why are you Homeschooling him?
A: In general, I am not satisfied with the quality of education in schools. But also, our local school's system (we have only one or two international schools in our city) is not satisfactory. We are aiming to homeschool till 6 years of age for now.

WalaikumAssalam! Great idea Mubashir Ahmed! Thank you so much for watching! Briefly for now, I would say that it's a misconception that the earlier the child goes to school the better. At such young age (4yr) the traditional classroom setup where the child has to sit in one place for so long is not natural. Children like to run around and learn through play. It's our responsibility to provide them with a setup where they can move around in different learning stations. However, in our failed education system kids are burdened with homework. We need to preserve their childhood. Delaying the formal education will actually give them more "academic" success. I would highly recommend reading about Finland's education system where formal education starts from age 7. Before that it's mostly outdoor play and exploration. App socho kya ye theek ha k 4 saal k ya 5 saal k bacchay ko seat p bitha k ghento kaam karwaya jaey aur test liya jaey. It's not natural :)

You can make something similar. The concepts though should be according to the child's age.
So for example: classic short rhymes, abc print to sing a song. 1-10 numbers. For phonics (every 2 weeks three small letters to teach phonics), a good manner each week. Some nature activities print. A different picture of a tree each week. Maybe some pictures to learn new vocabulary
My nephew has turned 4 now and as you know the covid situation we won't send him to school. Can you please let me know how we should start teaching him at home? would you consider this video as the first step?
Yeah sure go ahead with this one! Maybe add items on it according to your nephew's progress. If you need to start with letter sounds and recognition. Add an A4 size print of letters. Also consider watching my how to setup a learning corner video. The flash cards video as well.

Accha, this book was bought from Saudia. Good Words is the publisher.
But you don't have to get the exact book. Go to the book store and browser through the Islamic Books and you will find plenty of options. Then, simply photocopy some pages and have them printed for the board.
I also chose this books randomly. Nothing special about it :)

Ws! When I got it in Saudia, I think I saw other colors. But it doesn't matter. I have to build one again in Pakistan. As we shifted. I probably would get what's available in the shop. Probably white. It was a pretty big size. The largest one in shop

How do we laminate btw?
Accha sahe. Wasay this isn't that Green pin board. It's a regular cheap foam board that can break if u bend them

Ma ny ja apnay beytey ko school admit karwaya toh sab sy bara mujhay ye issue lag raha tha k school sy wapis aa k koi asa time nahi tha jis mey Yahya khushi sy shok sy homeschooling wali activities karay.
After two months of trying different times and routines, the best time for us is in the morning 6'o clock.
Raat mey ma jaldi sula deyti. Subah 6 baje uski aankh khul jati. For 20 min he plays with his own things (ajkal charts p cars draw karnay ka shok hua va) woh karta, phir 30 min I do whatever I have planned for his learning. Phonics ya math ka koi concept ya Urdu reading etc.
His school starts at 8 and his school is just 2min drive. So, we have plenty of time left for breakfast, shower and getting ready :)

Check out my "How to laminate video". There are two ways to laminate. 1st buy a laminator. If you don;t want to buy a laminator, you can just buy the laminating pouches and use an iron to laminate. I have explained in detail in a video. Do check it out and ask away any questions that come to your mind :) Hope this helps!
