Reid please keep us updated on your rear view HANSHOW 3rd party mirror camera experience. Having heard so many mixed things about that company that makes that I am hesitant to take the plunge. I hear their customer service sucks. Hopefully I am wrong or that will change.
Teslas are engineered as million mile vehicles. They do have very few( 300world- wide) repair centers. This shows Teslas intent. Unlike any big auto with 1000s of stealerships
@@GWAForUTBE I had poorly articulated the above comment when I wrote it. I’m on my second Tesla model X and I love it and it’s ultra reliable. What I was referring to is is that Reid had installed in his cyber truck a third-party rearview mirror built by hansshow which is some Chinese entity. I’m seeing a lot of issues with it across the Internet because apparently it interferes with the TeslaGPS system. I should’ve made my original comment clearer. I have updated the comment to make it obvious now.
Hey fam, so far I have installed my own rear view mirror since no matter what I did I could not get theirs to work, I would hold off on buying the Hannshow one until they update the design, I'm gonna make a video on mine soon and I think another company is gonna send me their rear view as well to try so I would hold off until I try the other one and make a new video
@@reidtomasko3857 awesome and thank you so so much. You are definitely becoming the go to cyber truck Tesla quality assurance expert. It breaks my heart when such a necessary concept is undermined by crappy manufacturers. I hope Tesla considers entering the game too.
Great vid bro! Clever routing the cable underneath instead of through dashboard panel, I didn’t think of that 😅 Btw, you can swipe on the CarPlay logo to get to Settings, even while driving
Neat Vid. Im considering a CT but I have disability. I now use a rear slder door mini-van door for my mobility aid. I would need a rear barn door or suicide-door. Hinges & latches swapped or replaced with fronts. All electrical would need lengthening and routed up the C pillar. Behind the rear door. Ive never seen a CT yet, so very skeptical if possible. As a CT owner & obviously a decent wrench. I ask if you think this is possible?
Oh it could for sure be done, it would just require custom welding to change the latch location of the rear door but I think it's something that could be done for sure!
@reidtomasko3857 Thanks for the reply. Another favor?? Could you measure the minimum distance of the door opening at the bottom.. My rear slider is very wide to fit my mobility device. If it don't fit, I'm afraid the purchase & door relocate pointless.
@reidtomasko3857 rear pls. . First I get into the driver seat, then reach back through the slider/ rear door and pull my chair in . I'll also need to remove the rear seat. Ideally, not removing the wheels. It is 25" wide at the base or floor. Thanks a lot.
When you’re in high ticket areas, I think the speed mode would be very helpful because it’s literally right in front of you. But I do agree with you. I think a front or rear camera mode would be invaluable, especially when parking where you want two large views of front and back concurrently.
Yea I think the only thing that makes it really cool is the apple carplay if you are someone who really wants that. the speed is cool as well but not insanely needed

@@GWAForUTBE looks like 28 inches max in the rear doors
Can I watch TH-cam on it ⁉️
It only has carplay and android auto
I like the way it looks, but the Squircle kind of ruins it for me and I like the Squircle.
hmm that LCD glare doesent look great, TBH a HUD would b best especially for the tybertruick theme
To me the information that it gives is useless. I would prefer the ability to view camera modes.
