- There have been some pretty amazing pictures from the island of Hawaii. A volcano there, named Kilauea, has been erupting and spewing out rivers of lava which have destroyed homes and cars. It's pretty scary stuff from a distance, so imagine what it's like for the people who live there. We caught up with some Hawaiian locals and found out more about their fiery mountain.

Don't worry, this is normal. It's gonna make the island bigger... It's how it was created to start with.
Sebastian is beyond his years. A very mature young man.

Flying War Chariot Its sad when you can't even watch a volcano video without mentioning politics.

Definitely helps
It's so bizzare to just see magma oozing from the ground like that.
That Lava is scary, it jumps on cars and pushes gates! Yikes!!!
Mindful Awareness on your lif
Yeah, it does give you a reminder that lava is still stone - rock. More than enough power behind it even moving slowly like that to crush or move just about anything.
Go to Guatemala and judge that lava moment
This is the first time I see lava
Its beautiful wow
I remember this from last yr on the news
*good old times*
Oh my god... this is so tragic..... ): my heart goes to Hawaii 💗
Lava Moves down streets

Sebastian is so adorable! C:
Sebastian : ".... You don't see that everyday"
Earth " "hold my beer"
I definetly feel for all the people losing their homes n property! Almost had to evacuate this past Spring and almost lost our home because of floods caused by Ice Dams.
Two types of people in life which one are you
1. The type of person who is scared to death hurries and grabs all of their belongings and heads out the door to safety
Or
2. The type of person who doesn’t give a crap and takes out their phone to video tape while they’re running out of time to pack
2
I was there
Its not by a volcano its by te fiti!
When I went to hawaii after that everyone from the big island was in Oahu honalulu and it was packed we couldn't even go to pools and the ocean was packed we still had fun tho I hope nothing else happens mainly to Oahu because I love hawaii it's really fun
I was on top of that mountain a little over 2 years ago when I went to this island for my Make A Wish
When it comes to flowing lava, nature always wins! The whole island could blow up at any time, just like Krakatoa erupted in August 26,1883.
Different type of Volcanoes made up, but they were all Shield Volcanoes. Shield Volcanoes don't erupt like Krakatoa
did.
Where do people hide and evacuate if it keeps spreading?
When I was in Hawaii my dad and his friend and I were pig hunting and we’re were on a papaya field and the next day this volcano erupted and now its covered in lava
I hope it goes good
Very sad but amazing!
Background Sound?
The true power of Akainu Sakazuki. Causing so much damage
Just wanted to say that boy in this video comes across as pretty sharp. Not sure how old he is but he talks like he's in his 20's. a lot more with the reality of things than numerous adults previously interviewed.
The little boy sounds so mature!
I think it said to those people who are living near that volcano God help them I personally feel very sad I have only for them it is prayers.
Technically speaking, according to my calculations, Lava is 2192 °F
I didn’t even know that volcanoes were still live, I thought they were all either dormant or extinct
I was in pahoa last year with my kids .. the tide ponds are gone... sad but nature I wanted to go back
Oh my God so scary
I went there barely a year before and it looks entirely different
I live in Oahu
Is this real
If it destroys everything in its path, why are they all standing to close to it?
Dios mio bendise. ese pais
Cool!?!?!!?!!!? I would just cry and cry and cry and i would never stop i’m so scared of lava and if our house burned down i would scream so hard the my lungs would exploded!!!!!!!!

Why buildhomes over a volcano???
My grandma was telling me that if fissures connected around Kïlauea, it would collapse the part of Kïlauea and cause s huge tsunami, and I live right next to the volcano.

The Ring of Fire
The thing is when howaii was made first there was no man in there. Now there are many. That's why it is a surprise.
Nice video.
Y dont u all try to stop it ...since when a volcanic eruption took place then only red lava comes out since it comes in direct contact with oxygen resulting in vast lava ....so u can either stop it from coming out or let it come out n then stop...if it doesnt come out we dont know wht can happen n so we shouldnt try that bt we can control it after it comes out by layering it in a style that it flows in one direction only n tgen digging wells into a little far place when all lava eventually enter ...letting it spread will have devasting effect ...so y nt dig a well long enough to fit in...
I know that it moves 50 or 500 mph
When the Lava flows to the sea and cools . Who will one the land that the volcano lava flow will create .
For fun !!!! نسأل الله السلامة والعافية في الدنيا والآخرة
