- Steel Taipan, Dreamworld's newest 2021 Roller Coaster ride, is now OPEN! In this video from Steel Taipan's soft opening, we have some Off-Ride Footage of the ride running with guests for the first time! What a fun ride!
Steel Taipan is a brand new Roller Coaster Ride that will be launching to everyone on the 15th of December 2021. ST is a triple launch Roller Coaster from German Manufacturer Mack Rides!
RCDB - "This is a near copy of the Mack Rides "Blue Fire" model. The original uses a single-pass launch while this will use a forward / backward / forward multi-pass launch incorporating a vertical spike and switch track.
The last car of one of the two trains will spin."

convenient opening since a movie that has a taipan as a main character that also takes place in Australia came out 4 days before this ride opened

It looks like there are two trains: one with the spinning seat in the back and the other without. I can't imagine how long that queue must be for that spinning seat!
The spinning seat is a paid only option right now ($25AUD) so you get on almost instantly!

not me waiting to try see myself on the ride cause I was there on the exact day! dude that thing opening was a huge surprise for me cause I was ready to wait for Wednesday and the ticket people at the front asked if I was gonna go on it I love the ride!

There is a video of the spinning seat prototype on the MACK Rides YT channel. They tested the system on Blue Fire in their "home park" Europapark.
I am unsure if this is also the prototype for the coaster cars of "Ride to Happiness", where all cars have the ability to spin or if they are just an updated version of the EuroMir cars? Any nerds here? :P Thanks in advance.
I believe the cars on Ride to Happiness are upgraded versions of the ones used for Time Traveller. They also tested these on Blue Fire years ago (th-cam.com/video/HTBcYF2QjoM/w-d-xo.html) before going with the simpler 2 seat design that was used for Steel Taipan and Icon.
Original Blue Fire is very boring but this spinning touch looks like it spices up the ride with a good amount of thrills. The back and forth launch also add some extra.
The spinning seats do indeed up the thrill level - they're crazy!
Is this before the public could officially ride?
Yes and no, It was just for people who had annual passes, not day tickets. I believe it opened officially for everyone the next day

@@ThemeParkOgre well I went on it for the first time in MONTHS today. And I did it 4 times too. So 5 times I've done it in my life (if you know what I mean) It was not as sketchy and force as the first time which was march 13 2022. And I the 1st (2nd in my life) time i did it, I did the the front seat. And the funniest thing happened to me on the 3rd (4th in my life) time

lol absolutely no way is this more intense than Velocicoaster! It won't even be as intense as DC Rivals down the road.

I think that was a trolling comment. VelociCoaster is one of the most extreme coasters ever built. It is superbly intense throughout! This one is not.

And even without the differences, Blue Fire is a world-class coaster, and Australia's coaster lineup is pretty shallow. We'll take this any day of the week, this is quality.
